We booked this lodge for our wedding in February. 1e contacts where fine. Very clear what to expect. When we arrived, my sister and brother in law arrived 1e, with a baby, 5 year old and 2 retired people. We made a downpayment already but they got refused to go in the rooms with as reason the owners did not...

We expected so much more. The fabulous view, as shown, belonged to the Lodge - our French cottage view of the estuary was blocked by trees. The theatre and hot tub, were hardly adjacent as shown, but 100 meters up the road and part of the lodge. The kayaks were 10 feet above the estuary and down a very steep...

Took a detour to Bream Bay on our way to Bay of Islands and stayed at this Lodge , which is a little gem tucked away on the coast. As we only stayed a night we only had a king room but if your staying longer apartments are available with full kitchen. It features really comfortable beds and modern bathroom and...

We stayed here for two nights and were wowed by the view from our window over serene, picturesque Bream Bay, less than 50 meters away. There was also the option of kayaking across the bay that we hope to take up on a future visit. Sunrise/sunset are unforgettable. The grounds are broad, beautiful, and kempt, with a rotunda/spa pool and...

Our welcome by the host really set the scene for this amazing place by the seaside where you can just take in so much of nature whilst relaxing away from home. The setting with beautiful animals and weather we enjoyed made for the nicest stay. The comodation was really great and the spa pool was just we needed after a...

The location is beautiful and so are the grounds with an outlook over the estuary. We booked the Luxury Studio and at $200/night were very disappointed. Its just a bedroom with a separate bathroom. There is a lovely patio area which you can see from the window however you have to walk all round the building to get there. The...

We were most disappointed in most aspects of our stay. It is ridiculously expensive for one big room with a minute bathroom with no bath- fibreglass shower!! And they charge 2.5% for credit card. There is hardly a water view- it is hidden by huge trees. There is no walk along the estuary. It is remote which may appeal to...

We stayed for two nights in the detached waterfront French cottage. It has a full kitchen, with a gas hob (no oven) microwave (convection) and breakfast bar. The lounge area incorporates a large sofa (a bit old and now too soft) a TV with DVD and a table with four chairs. The bedroom has a king sized bed with en...

Bream Bay Lodge looks beautiful and there's lots of lovely rescue animals there that give you a lovely welcome. Everyone there is really friendly and nice but at the prices we were paying I do expect a little bit more. For example in the cottage where our friends were staying all the cast iron outside furniture was dirty, a wash...
