This is our third stay at The Bridge, and food, service, standards and staff remain first class. My husband and I had a four night break using the winter deal muddy/polished boots and had 2 nights DBB & 2 nights BB. The menus for both the restaurant and bar provided lots of choice, and were cooked and presented well. The...

A very comfortable, friendly and relaxing hotel. Attractively furnished room. A very cosy residents' lounge....sort of "chintzy chic". The breakfasts were generally good, especially the Cumbrian breakfast, although the cooking of the eggs was somewhat variable.(hard yolks etc). We ate bar meals, which were generally good also. The great things about this hotel were NO television and NO phone signal....don't...

Dear dwh284, Thank you very much for your very kind review "Very comfortable, friendly and polite staff" is a title any hotelier would be truly grateful to receive! We were glad to read you enjoyed your stay and that you also felt the lack of modern technology to be a plus in this increasingly digital world - this is Buttemrere...

Check in not available 'til 15;00. not a problem. . . walked round Buttermere, beautiful but be prepared to get wet feet as you go through the" cave". Then sat outside and had a drink. We booked at very short notice and the hotel was full so we had the smallest room. However, it was well appointed and tastefully decorated....

Stayed in a beautiful, spacious room with a balcony. Staff were friendly and the food was excellent. We took our young collie dog, Daisy, who was welcomed as much as we were. The "Daisy" welcome pack with doggie treats on arrival was a nice little touch. Despite the wine being rather expensive we shall return soon!

Back again for a short stay at The Bridge, this time in the hotel as opposed to apartments which are also great. Originally I booked a two night stay, but decided to see if I could extend to three nights a few days before, I called and Attila was superb extending our stay. Dog friendly, most definitely, we had breakfast...

The Bridge Hotel is one of the Lake District's many gems, located in the little village of Buttermere and just a stone's throw from the lake of the same name. We had a fantastic long weekend there, we were very well looked after and they accommodated our late arrival on the Friday night without any problem. Our four poster room...
