Nice hotel with nice rooms. Breakfast is good. Nice service from staff even in out-of-season periodes. Located in town and close to water gives you easy access to walk along the water and shopping. Dinner in the restaurant is good. Like that the rooms has "names" like those on a ship.

Rederiet Hotell is located dot downtown in Farsund and is also home to the best restaurant in town. If you arrive after midnight, they give you a code to enter and leave the key for you on the stairs. Just like visiting a close relative. The old rooms are a bit old school, but well appointed and functional. The new...

Their website did not leave me with high expectations, but when we arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The room we had, Redersuiten, was really nice with a big living room area and a nice big bedroom. The best part of the hotel must be the resturant though. The food was excellent and the local beer is worth a taste.

This hotel and restaurant is situated right in the centre of Farsund in a building that used to be the headquarters of a shipowner. The old atmosphere has been retained while making the changes necessary to transform offices into hotel rooms. The restaurant was good for dining and with an alright breakfast too.

We did not stay in the hotel but enjoyed a very good dinner in their restaurant. Perfectly prepared meats, excellent wine selection and very good service. It was a perfect compliment to a day of shopping (and the Pirate Festival) in Farsand.

Arriving in Farsund, you really don´t know what to expect. The hotel is well-placed, in the centre of a tiny coastal southern Norwegian town, and a very pleasant surprise! Free parking (when available) outside, friendly staff, and clean well-kept rooms. We had a family room, a nice-sized room with double bed, sofa bed, with windows across the old town hall,...

The hotel is charming and located right in the center of Farsund. It is decorated with a shipping decor including pictures of old ship models and photos from Farsund's shipping heritage. The food was great and the service delightful

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Velkommen til Sørlandets hemmelige perle!MEDLEM AV DE HISTORISKE HOTEL OG SPISESTEDER ... more   less
