The best beaches I have ever seen ! The resort is a perfect place to restore your mind and body after stressful year of work. Super friendly and very caring staff made our vacation very special. The whole atmosphere was the same as you will see in YouTube videos about the Maldives. Our butlers Rey and Alinee were our personal councillors at the resort and promptly supported us with all our requests. They did a great job to arrange flowers , champagne and delicious dinner for my wife’s birthday anniversary! Also a special thank you to Andres, who treated us with all kind of cocktails at his bar near a very pristine beach !

The Melia Buenavista and most of all, the people that work here make this resort a very special place to visit. This is my 2nd trip here now and it was more amazing than the first time. The staff here are outstanding, attentive and very hard workers. The entertainment team of Andrenxon Coll, Navy and Marcos are amazing with their many activities throughout the day and evenings which keeps the guests engaged. They also took a group of guests to the 90’s music festival for 2 nights where they kept us safe and entertained. Good times! I cannot name everyone individually but be reassured that no matter who you talk to, you will be taken care of. With the resort being on the smaller side (which I prefer) it feels like a big happy family. Good job to all the staff! I am hoping to return again in March. Xo…

Staff is very friendly and accommodating. They go above and beyond. Very relaxed atmosphere for an adult only resort. Great sunsets but they didn’t have a bar in the area. Food was ok. Bring lots of bug spray.

We just got back from a week at the Melia Buenavista. The staff were amazing! Anderson Coll, Navy, and the entire entertainment team really made our stay special. The yoga and dance classes were outstanding! Our butlers, Rey and Elina were excellent. The three beaches are truly spectacular. Unfortunately, our food was quite poor. My husband and I both had stomach issues and were each bedridden for a day. There were many bugs and I had to apply bug spray as often as I applied sunscreen. I came home with many itchy swollen bug bites. Also, the resort is older and our room had several issues that required fixing. Our butlers were great at getting this done but it meant we didn't have access to our room at times.

For my second time at this beautiful resort, it was nothing short of special. The experience when staying at the Melia Buenavista was amazing as you are steps away from some of the most beautiful beaches in Cuba where you will find the most well preserved coral reef, so if you like to snorkel this resort is for you with its breathtaking underwater views. The food was delicious at all the restaurants and the staff were very friendly and helpful when needed. This resort had a very calm and relaxing vibe to it where I felt like I was in paradise. The entertainment team Navi & Andrenxon Coll provided various activities to do throughout the day including water aerobics and occasional Volleyball at the pool, Yoga at Sunset beach in the morning, as well as great nightly entertainment at the Lobby Bar outside. Thank you to Lily our wonderful butler who surprised us with decorating our room for my birthday. She went above and beyond to make us feel at home and very well taken care of! I would like to thank the wonderful staff for how well treated I was during this stay and I am already looking forward to coming back to this resort, the experience is like no other when staying at the Melia Buenavista!…

We have visited MBV many times and it never disappoints. The main reason we keep coming back is because of the wonderful people that work at this resort and the incredible beaches! Happy to see that many renovations and updates are being done to the resort at the moment. Management is doing a great job keeping on top of the repairs at the resort. Lily & Daymi - our butlers. Thank you so much for taking such great care of us. Lily did an awesome job decorating our room for my husband’s birthday when we arrived. Thank you for making us feel special and at home. Lester & Yaikel - thank you for making the best mojito’s at the pool bar and always keeping our glasses full! They are always there if you need anything. Piti & Pedro make the best pizzas and burgers and the snack bar by the main pool. Thank you for the delicious food! Dayron at the sunset beach bar made us some awesome drinks and was so friendly and kind to us! He also keeps your room stocked with water and coffee. Thank you for keeping us hydrated. Such a hard working guy helping out all around the resort! Navi & Andrenxon Coll thank you for keeping us entertained. We had the best time playing volleyball in the pool and enjoying your music at night. Best animation team!! Leydi & Anais at the lobby bar make the best cappuccinos in the morning. It was a little wavy in the middle beach this time but when it is calm that is the best beach for snorkelling. Sunset beach is very calm and we brought our inflatable kayak and enjoyed going out there for a paddle along the shore. Thank you to the amazing staff for making us feel so welcomed and making our trip to Cuba the absolute best! We always have a fantastic time at this resort and we can’t wait to come back again to see everyone! I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation spot. We stayed in an ocean view room 0721 from Oct 14-26th 2023. Our room was completely functional with all aspects, including locks and sliding door working perfectly. I found the bed to be a bit stiff, hubby liked the firmness. There were 2 long pillows and two fluffy smaller pillows found in the closet. A sheet on the bed and an acrylic brown blanket found in the closet. There were two large hand towels and two bath towels per day as well as the two beach towels. Beach towels can be changed out any time you want at the beach hut. The resort in total had a lot of construction going on. They were renovating many rooms and the Mariners restaurant while we were there. We were not bothered by construction noise. There were new loungers at the main pool and large double beds with curtains to block the sun. The staff were as amazing as ever. In particular I would like to mention Johnny Martinez who was everywhere, all the time, quietly helping out clear tables, pour drinks, serve food along side the wait staff while also greeting at the door. He was a smiling face every single day during our trip. Of course Lester, Navy and Yaikel were fun and friendly faces at the pool bar. We enjoyed seeing Christian and Leydey in the lobby bar. Leydey's has a delightful friendly giggle and is always happy to serve us. As for servers in the restaurant we felt a bond to LLanniceLeydey, Yoell, Alina, Rey and Emily. All were lovely to have serving us, discreet yet also friendly....it is a fine line and they did it well. Sadly while we were there there was a lot of wind and so we were only able to snorkel 4 times but the coral and fish are still out there on the far side of the snorkel beach, on the west beach our a little further and there are fish but not really coral on the east beach. shortages...there was a shortage of coffee beans so they were serving instant coffee for the last half of our trip. There was always paper napkins in the public washroom stalls so I am assuming that toilet paper is still hard for them to source but we had ample in our room and there really is no problem to use the paper napkins instead. There was soap at all washrooms. Everything was clean and tidy. As for food we were nourished every day. The food was starting to get repetitive after almost two weeks, but hats off to the chef for the creative ways to use the same ingredients. I ate a lot of pureed pumpkin and pasta. The pasta is really nice there, I am not sure if it is because it's fresh or just the way they cooked it but I enjoyed the pasta. We are looking forward to returning!…

Imagine the most picturesque beaches where tropical fish surround you as soon as you enter the warm beautiful waters. Imagine beautiful accommodation and add kind and thoughtful staff who become your friends from your arrival. This is Melia Buenavista in Santa Clara. The resort was under renovation which was almost completed when we left, so visitors should enjoy the newly restored buffet overlooking the big beach along with upgraded room amenities. . Thank you Sergio, Lester, Anais and Liz and all of the other wonderful staff! You made our visit Extraordinary!
