Ok, we have been to Cuba twice and here at Melia in Santa Maria was a A JEWEL OF A RESORT. the service was FIRST CLASS and the feel so Tropical. ITS A NICE SIZE AND NOT TOO OVERCROWDED. RESTAURANTS ARE FUN AND TRY TO BE UNIQUE FOR THE TOURISTS. when you stroll down to the beach you know you... More

For 360 Euro a night you would expect something more that cheap food, bad wine, poor service and low water pressure. I suppose they considered themselves very ecologically sustainable as one day there were no clean beach towels. It has a large beach and 2 swimming pools. The jacuzzi was out of order. Wi-fi is only in the lobby, you... More

Just returned from another great vacation at the Melia Cayo Santa Maria. It’s still a great site even after all these 14 years of existence. Before getting into the hotel I’ll give a little info on the Cayo of Santa Maria. You land in Santa Clara and travel by bus to the cayo (island). It takes about 90 minutes as... More

My friend and I stayed at this resort from Nov 5th-12th. This was my 2nd time at this resort and overall 6th in Cuba. We had a wonderful time and we plan on returning next November. Staff/Service: Everyone is extremely nice, genuine and eager to help. We have nothing but the best to say about all the employees we had... More

You won't stay here if you want to see Cuba. Don't get me wrong - its very comfortable with all inclusive food and drink, swimming pools, 24 hour bars, gym, beauty spa, book exchange, white sandy beaches, warm turquoise water and sunshine. There is nothing not to like but you could be anywhere warm and beachy. We had a month... More

Stayed at Melia for a week (31 Oct-7Nov) and had a great time. We did our homework on the hotel plus my brother and his wife had stayed there previously so we felt we were well-prepared. It wasn't too full and is still under renovation and probably will be for some time. The room was great (Block 7), spacious, clean,... More

My spouse and I, along with two other couples, had the pleasure of visiting Melia Cayo Santa Maria as our original choice (The Warwick) decided to be closed during our November 5 to 12 vacation period. After much deliberation we chose this resort and were all so pleased with our choice we have decided we would return. After receiving confirmation... More

A wonderful location, and some aspects of the resort were very good (the bar near the reception area, the special restaurants and the swimming pool area), but the rooms were very tired and run down and the breakfast service in the buffet restaurant was poorly serviced: or, I should say, variably serviced. The range of food was quite good, provided... More
