Booked a lake view western room, but was given a room facing other buildings in the old wing (there are 3 blocks/wings) by the male check-in counter staff, whom I suspect is the manager. Room was dinghy and old. Thankfully, a nice lady reassigned me to a lake view room in the middle newer wing and the furniture in the...

To celebrate my friend's birthday, 8 of us made a trip to Hokkaido Japan for a week. Our second stop was Lake Toyako and we stayed in Manseikaku hotel on 22-23Apr17. The hotel room is big but a bit old with the furniture and infrastructures. It is central air-con and if they turned on heat you can't make it cooler,...

Didn't stay at this hotel but the day tour stopped here for lunch. Not a bad japanese lunch spread considering the price of the full day tour. Food was plenty and tasty. Staff polite and views to the lake toya whilst dining.

Facing Nakajima Island and sitting beside Lake Toya, Hotel Lakeside Terrace is a wonderful urban retreat. Offering absolutely fantastic onsen, splendid view especially during sunset makes it a great stay. The house restaurant also has great variety of cuisines not limited only to mouth watering Japanese meal. A definite must stay for me for the next visit at Hokkaido

The hotel was prominently located at one end of the Toyako Onsen area, which made it easily located and offers a clear view of the lake, hence the relative room pricing for respective views. Front desk staffs were helpful. However, the dinner and breakfast offerings were highly disappointing. Reviews and blog online that mentioned good about the meals were either...

The hotel offers you some brilliant views of the lake (if you choose the rooms facing the lake) and you will also be able to see the fireworks from your room. Room size is big and spacious for Japanese standards, however, despite us requesting for non-smoking rooms, we can still smell a bit of stale cigarette smoke in the room...

The room is moderate with tatami setup. But the main plus point was the buffet dinner & breakfast which offer a great varieties of food choices. Fireworks was demonstrated near the hotel every night from April to October. One of the good attraction!

This has to be the highlight of our trip. we travelled in a group of 9 from Sapporo to Hakodate and finally to Lake Toya. The rooms are spacious and with great view of the lake and mountains. The buffet dinner and breakfast is amazing with fabulous spread. Hokkaido crabs, scallops, beef, fish, noodles, etc. Unlimited supply of great food....

Lovely spread of buffet dinner and breakfast, but our one night stay here was spoilt by rain, Good onsen too. Friendly courteous staff too,who helped us wear the yukata for dinner. Place is huge and you need plans to get from north, south, east and west, so make sure you do not lose your plan or at least have a...

This was the hotel with the smallest hotel toilet I had ever seen. The triple room, on the other hand, that my children and mum occupied, was double the size of the double room/toilet and had a luxurious shower. The rooms were a little worn out. Other than that, it had spectacular views of the Lake and also the nightly...
