Seri Malaysia Sg. Petani is unfit for human occupancy... animals will not even stay here. RUN DOWN This hotel is dilapidated (crumbling deteriorating, neglected, badly maintained) and should be closed for a total revamp to be fit for humans to stay. The root of the problem lies in the mismanagement of the hotel. A new and honest board of directors needs to take over the current team and weed out all the incapable managers. NO LIFTS Paying guests, especially women with babies and old people risk their lives each time they climb up and down the stairs. There are NO LIFTS/ELEVATORS in this hotel. NO WI-FI You'll need to stand outside your room to receive a single bar of reception. Their Wi-Fi routers are obsolete, and some have antennas missing. There is no IT staff on hand to fix any connectivity issues. NO CABLE TV CHANNELS There are free to air (RTM) and home shopping channels only. The excuse given was that the hotel is situated too far away from the cable transmission station. Your kids will go mad with no entertainment. RIDICULOUSLY TINY BATHROOM The bathroom is perfect if you are 3 years old or a midget. You will hit the walls each time you take a shower and try to turn your body. The entire floor gets wet and slippery because there is NO SHOWER CURTAIN. You will slip and break your neck if you are not careful. FILTHY JUG KETTLE The jug kettle had dirty stains and was not cleaned for years. Can't comment on the condition of the window curtains or fridge because there weren't any! INSECTS AND MOSQUITOES The door gaps allowed mosquitoes and other insects to enter the room. You have to block the gap with a bath towel. FILTHY AIR CON (A/C) You risk respiratory issues with the dirty air conditioner which had disintegrated filters which had NEVER been cleaned. UNHEALTHY FOOD There was a total disregard for nutrition. The meals had NO NUTRITIONAL VALUE and were overpriced for the quality of the food (or lack of quality). Cheap sausages and baked beans for breakfast, with portions so small even a child would go hungry. Some of the dishes were good - beef soup, fish curry and chicken rice. EXCELLENT STAFF This group of well mannered and capable staff need to find employment somewhere better. They deserve a better working environment. But some of them need further training. One staff told me to use the air conditioner to dry my hair because they did not have access to the storeroom where the hair dryers were kept. AMENITIES Be sure to request for toilet rolls or tissues 2-3 days in advance. Yes, it takes that many days... SUMMARY No paying guest in their right mind would even consider staying in this old and poorly maintained hotel. All of us had no choice as we were in state quarantine in this hotel and had to pay RM2,100 for 13 days of misery and suffering. Seri Malaysia Sg. Petani management: Please close down your hotel and make it a habitable holiday resort it once was 25 years ago.

Regularly entered to the restaurant called rasa-rasa. Coffee house was cozy. Good for client meet up or lepaking. All food promotion is good. Hot item for evening tea just rm9.90/set. U may have various of hot 'Cucoq' serve for you and delicious sambal bilis. You must try their new promo steambot menu which grill and soup. Two kind of soups either tomyam or clear soup. Much variety of grill item.. Love to bring my family having dinner at rasa-rasa coffee house. U must try! Service staff was excellent. While u had seat they will serve you with cold sky juice. Recommended to all as i am happy with the food.. Keep it Up!! Cheerss

Experience summary 1. Don't expect too much about this hotel. 2. It's super cosy. 3. You should try their nasi lemak (breakfast) and room service menu (e.g nasi goreng Seri Malaysia and nasi goreng ulam - super duper delicious, even though a bit expensive). 4. This hotel is for budget and simple person. 5. A bit old accommodation - was built in 1995. 6. No lift but got stairs, the rooms were on 1st & 2nd level. 7. The staffs were super helpful and friendly. 8. For the final day stayed, we faced a small issue with flush function, it's ok since we used the toilet dustbin as an emergency pail. 9. There was an open area for ironing. 10. Sejadah (prayer mat) and Al-Quran translation book were provided. 11. You may ask them to add the amenities you need like tissue, soap, shampoo, towel etc and there was a cleaning service like change the bedsheets etc. 12. We also received some vouchers during the check-out. Yeay! Thanks Seri Malaysia. Decision: We will consider revisiting this hotel (Seri Malaysia has several hotels around Malaysia) for our next vacation.

This is my second time I stay in this hotel. here is no change during the first time I come to this hotel. Front Office Staff is not good in speak English. The whole staff was unfriendly, The hotel's nearby area with market brought an unpleasant smell. The room condition is still unchanged there are still have room defects need to be repaired before a guest check in. Food is too bad, please let the management improve the quality of the hotel.
