There are not many hotels in Sungai Petani,after searching online we weretorn in between few hotels and decide to stay in this resort. We stayed one night in Deluxe twin room 891 with balcony for RM212 inclusive breakfast. The check in was fast and the reception was friendly. Since we arrive late at night they offer us a late check out. We were so tired and we just want to rest. Upon arriving to our room sadly the room was dirty and there is hair on the bed, The toilet was a dirty I was sceptical to use the bathtub the shower curtain was dirty and even worse there is a hand soap sticking on the wall. The coffee cabinet was absolutely disgusting and dirty dust is everywhere I even can write my name on it. The curtains was unhooked and there is hole on it. There is lizard poop on the table and floor near the curtains. The bed was okay comfortable just there is hair on it. The plug to charge my phone was so far on the other side of the wall so i need to move the bed and the side table closer to the wall and there is dirt under the bed when we move the bed. The air condition in the room working well.. Breakfast spread was okay but the view is beautiful makes u feel like u want ro run across the fields.The coffee is too strong, didn’t provide milk at the coffee and tea station only sugar and creamer so I took the milk from the cereal place. No amount of milk can dilute the thick strong coffee. We went back to the room and check out immediately after breakfast and went to the nearest starbucks to get our coffee fix!

Checked in here at 3am because of its location. Room was quite run down. Needs an uplift.
Wanted to have a shower before bed but there was a cockroach on the wall! Managed to get rid of it and because we were too tired to make a fuss we let it be.
Informed the manager about this the next day. No refund or upgrade but they extended our stay till 6pm because we had an event in sungai petani which lasted until 5pm so for us to freshen up before the long drive back to KL.

The pool and pool area not well maintained.. the water was not clean, the tiles fill with thick algae, the toilet in the pool area is so dirty and smelly. I hope the management team will do something about this issue for the convenience of customer. Thank you

Ordered chicken grill that tasted gross. The mash potato was terrible and tasteless. Who tf use smelly margarine in mash potato.
Also, you need to wait for long time to get your order ready.
Bad service, the food is awful.

I stayed here 3 nights for an event. For me, the service is good, all the staffs are friendly, the environment also great. This resort is so popular in Kedah. The food also okay. Hoping that this resort can keep improving their service. Overall, I give 4 out of 5.

We stayed at Cinta Sayang for 3 nights and checked out this morning. I did write them a whole page of review before I left and handed it to the duty manager. But I doubt their management will take any of the feedback seriously.
No other review on Trip advisor is detailed enough for me before we booked. So, I am going to be detailed here to help anyone wanting to book at this resort to decide.
We stayed in a 3 bedroom Sky-Residence serviced apartment.
Positive: 1. Apartment is spacious. Rooms are well sized. 1 king bed, 1 queen bed and 1 single bed. 2. Nice view of the golf course. 3. Plenty of parking space and they are under cover.
Negative: 1. I was unfortunate to have been met by a receptionist by the name of Anbasima (I may not spelled her name correctly here). When I pulled up at the lobby, there was no greetings although there were 3 receptionists at the counter. When I asked where can I check in for Sky-Residence, her answer was short "this is reception, so you check in here". Her attitude really put me off. If I hadn't paid for the room, I would have walked away. She didn't allow me to check in because the booking was under my husband's name and she demanded to see his I/C. When I said he's on his way from work and he should be here soon, she just said "can't check you in". Did not offer me to sit in the cafe to wait, so I walked away and took the kids to a nearby cafe outside the resort.
2. We checked in and drove to the apartment. The key card didn't work. So, I had to go back down and asked the receptionist at the apartment for help. She sent 1 maintenance guy who told us the battery for the door unit is low. He's going to have to get a new one. We had to wait and 10 mins later, another person came. He couldn't fix it either. So we had to wait again and then they had to open it manually. Half an hour after we had been inside, then they managed to fix it.
3. THERE IS NO SWIMMING POOL UNTIL JULY 2018!!!! Nothing is advertised on their website. When I questioned the duty manager, he said "Oh yes, it's under renovation until July. Sorry we haven't updated our website and you can go to Carnival to have a swim". Problem is, the Carnival Waterpark that the resort advertised as "part of the resort" is not! You have to drive out of the resort and pay separately. Also being fasting month, they are only open from 2pm -10pm (which they also didn't advertise on their website). And there is not even a playground for the kids. A playground would have helped in entertaining the children.
4. Breakfast. Dissapointing. Very limited menu. On our first morning, we weren't told that there is an egg station OUTSIDE of the breakfast cafe! It's so hidden, unless you asked you won't know it's there. Only 2 fruits - watermelon and rockmelon on offer. It's okay to have limited menu, but they could at least serve different fruits. There is something about the milk that they serve that ruins the taste of the coffee/tea if you take them white.
5. Room quality. Very outdated. Bed is not too comfortable.Only limited pillows, 1 for each person with 1 extra. Bathroom is below standard. Mouldy and there is no shower screen. So we ended up with extremely wet bathroom. Especially in the master bedroom because the shower is over the bath with no shower curtain. Towel is quite disgusting. Thin and hard. Only 4 towels were provided. Being an apartment with a kitchen, there is no cutleries/plates/facilities to warm up food. Luckily we brought our own disposables, so we can still have meals in the apartment. Only 2 small water bottles provided each day for an apartment that accommodates 5 people. TV channels is extremely limited, nothing to watch. No DVD player either so we can't watch movies on the tv.
6. We had a black out on our 2nd day. After waiting for about half an hour, I called the receptionist. They weren't aware that we have no power in the apartment block. The person who answered the call then asked me "who do you want to speak to then?" How do I know who I need to speak to? I don't work for the hotel. He then said that he would contact maintenance for me. I never heard anything back nor anyone came to check on us. Power came back after about an hour. It went off again at midnight, but came back pretty quickly. We worked it out that TNB was doing work outside the apartment block, so that must have been the reason. I'm not sure why the hotel won't know about this and did not provide advance warning to us.
7. GST. I understand this is a new system that the hotel has to implement. But we were charged GST for our stay past 1st of June 2018. The duty manager told us that he would remove GST for the 1st of June - 2nd of June room rate, but when we got home and looked at the receipt, the calculation is wrong. So, I will still have to follow this up with the hotel.
Overall, I will not recommend this hotel unless you are going there for the golf course. Will not recommend for families with children until the swimming pool reopens. Call the hotel before you book. Picture on their website would have been taken 10 years ago, the resort is looking very tired and nothing like the pictures on the website. I will not go back.

Warmest Greetings from Cinta Sayang Resort. We would like to thank you for your feedback and it is taken seriously by the managements of Cinta Sayang Resort. We would like to draw your attention to the pertinent matters: 1. It is the Resort’s policy to check in under the name of the Bookers. This is in line to the PDPA act compliance. Unless the booker has notified the hotel accordingly. This is simply to avoid any discrepancy. 2. The non-functioning key cards as per mentioned has never occur to us because we do monthly priority checks, however, as per mentioned, it is fixed on the same day within the Resort’s standard stipulated waiting period. 3. Booking was done on the 11th of May 2018, before the date of pool renovation’s advertisement. The Resort had put up the advertisement on swimming pool renovations on the website on the 25th of May 2018. The Carnivall waterpark is part of the resort but with separate entrance and to confer honour on the holy month of Ramadan, it is only open from 2.00 pm until 10.00 pm. 4. The breakfast in the café is on self-service basis. We provide various menus and stalls around the café to be explored by our guests while enjoying the scenic Jerai Hill view from our café. We assure you that we serve fresh delicacies every day. 5. Guest amenities provided are based on the standard set up of an unit. Any additional requirements can be made through our receptionist. 6. The blackout happened due to TNB’s maintenance, the SKY apartment is a separate entity and Cinta Sayang Resort manages the short term leasing on behalf of the unit owners, however we will notify SKY residence management to keep all tenant alert on occasions of emergency. 7. GST charges had been refunded to the guest; however, it was a genuine situation accounted by our Front Office associate due to system was zero rated the night before. 8. Pictures taken are on-site picture, it may vary based on category and set up. All the apartments and furnished adequately. Plates & cutleries are available upon request for short term staying guest.

Came here with a family with toddler. Plenty of activities to do together as a family. There are golf course, golf range, waterpark and many more!
The BBQ by the pool was also delicious & scenic, you may want to plan your visit to include this experience!

Stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment located at the Sky Residence for 6 days. Apartment was clean, spacious with kitchen, dining and living area. Could be better if cooking utensil and cookwares provided. The only setback at the kitchen area was the presence of ants on the cabinet tops and dining table. Towels were a bit odd in colour ...
Undeniably, the view was fantastic and we could see our kids crossing over playing golf from our balcony. Beautiful houses surrounding the apartment. Quiet area with good and reasonable green fees.
The Golf Club was superb with complete golf facilities and offers nice food menu. Could be excellent if the changing room is maintained properly, clean and air-conditioned providing good changing facilities and resting area for golfers and guests.
Overall, the apartment and resort are nice ... and they have water parks for kids to enjoy!

Room was nice and spacious. Hot water functions well. No satellite tv channels, in fact can't even watch anything. Room was quite far from lobby and pool. We weren't told of it, so we had to walk quite a distance to our room after check in. Pool was lowly maintained and far from rooms. Breakfast spread was good and lots of choice. Will we come again here? Nope.
