Excellent location, surrounded with Parkson shopping mall, many different type food outlets and restaurants. Nice friendly staff.

However the hotel is very old and poorly maintained. Quality of breakfast needs attention. Rooms looks so depressing

DONT stay here.ordered room svc for my kids and old parents..after 1.5hrs food didnt arrive.called and passed around. After 2 hrs went to lobby and asked, every staff looked away.then i was angry and only then said that food is finished. But no one claimed responsibility and looked at each other. I am a many yrs loyal customer. Heard that they save food for a function hence didnt deliver to me. Very irresponsible hotelm dont STAY here.

Stay for 3D/2N, in executive room. Clean and pleasant environment. Restroom is in great condition.
However the management need to check the towel provided, although it is clean, but looks very old with some stitches loosen off.
Overall, it is OK.

I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights and I was very disappointed. There were many issues, including:

1. The reservation specifically requested a NON-smoking room. I repeated this request personally when I checked in. The girl said OK and proceeded to book me in a room on the smoking floor!!! When I went back and asked her why she did this, she did not respond (language was not a barrier.)

While at the desk, the reception staff also gave out the room number of another guest to someone who asked - this is a bad security / safety practice.

2. I was moved to a non-smoking room which was awful. Most of the TV channels had static, the Internet connection dropped out repeatedly, or many times just did not work at all. The water in the bathroom tap was brown. The room phone didn't even work one day.

3. The website says there is a gym. The signs in the lobby and elevator says there is a gym. There is NO gym.

4. The biggest problem I had was a leaking ceiling in the bedroom. This was above the entrance way and would drip badly in the morning and evening, I guess when the room above was using the showers. But it was really flooding my entrance - which was tiles and I slipped on this one morning, very dangerous. I mentioned this to the staff twice and it was never fixed. A second leak sprung on my last night and the ceiling is stained with a history of patchwork maintenance covering previous leaks.

5. They charged 400 for a one-way transfer from the airport, which is ridiculously overpriced - and it was just a normal taxi anyway. Organise one yourself on arrival and pay less than half that.

6. It was Ramadan so there was no breakfast buffet. This is absolutely fine, but the a la carte breakfast was terrible and was served very slowly.

7. I never ate the dinner buffet but it did look very good, with lots of choice.

8. The hotel is centrally located, with a Giant and other eating options within walking distance.

This hotel has such poor service and lacking even the basic facilities it promises, I recommend staying elsewhere.

I stayed here on 16th - 18th October for business. I read a lot of negative reviews about the hotel that at the beginning I refused to stay at Emerald Puteri. However, other hotels were fully booked, thus I was stucked with this hotel and prepared myself for the worst. Upon arrival, the concierge was nowhere to be seen, thus I was struggling with my luggage (not a good first impression). When entering the room, it feels like I was in the English countryside as the furniture had that feel - white cupboard, bed frame, table and chairs with English design, the soft pink wall. As for the bathroom, it looked old and worn out. The buffet breakfast was okay with some choices. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is situated immediately after the Sungai Petani toll exit, and surrounded by rows of shops.... There is even a shopping complex nearby, thus finding food and other necessities will be just a breeze. Overall, it was an above average experience for me, and I don't mind staying here again in the future.

I spent only a night in this hotel as the hotel nearby was fully booked. The hotel is stink (especially the car park area) and the room was relatively small and smelly. The bed linen was dirty. I will not come back to this hotel if i have a better choice.

My staff has always been a regular client for this hotel. But this time around it was a huge huge disappointment.

Approximately on the 28th of November 2019, my staff checked in for a week. On that particular day, she experienced a horrific situation. The night before at approximately 1.30am, the door bell rang twice. Out of fear, she remained silent till the door bell went off.

Then at approximately 6pm, my staff called the house keeping to clean the room. Whilst the house keeper was in the room, an unknown man came barging in the room and proclaimed as the house keeper and shouted "housekeeping!". And the REAL housekeeper and my staff was shocked. And that man ran away!!... How horrible is that? What if something would have happened to my staff???

My staff immediately contacted the front desk and the "real" housekeeper said that "oh i thought its your friend" in malay language. My staff explained that even at 1.30am there was someone who rang the door bell. They replied "oh theres a mistake on your doorbell".

REALLY????? This hotel is just outrageously horrible. We urged our staff to lodge a police report. But to keep things calmer she said lets let it go as it serves no purpose. She immediately checkout and got her husband to pick her up.

The management of the hotel called the security in to check the floors and what about CCTV? not functional?? This is totally unacceptable.

The manager furthermore, offered to take my staff out for dinner the next she comes. Bribery in place???

Im sorry but the next that this happens. I shall call the police instead. Cause the management is utter irrresponsible and THIS HOTEL IS UNSAFE FOR WOMEN!
