However the hotel is very old and poorly maintained. Quality of breakfast needs attention. Rooms looks so depressing
However the management need to check the towel provided, although it is clean, but looks very old with some stitches loosen off.
Overall, it is OK.
1. The reservation specifically requested a NON-smoking room. I repeated this request personally when I checked in. The girl said OK and proceeded to book me in a room on the smoking floor!!! When I went back and asked her why she did this, she did not respond (language was not a barrier.)
While at the desk, the reception staff also gave out the room number of another guest to someone who asked - this is a bad security / safety practice.
2. I was moved to a non-smoking room which was awful. Most of the TV channels had static, the Internet connection dropped out repeatedly, or many times just did not work at all. The water in the bathroom tap was brown. The room phone didn't even work one day.
3. The website says there is a gym. The signs in the lobby and elevator says there is a gym. There is NO gym.
4. The biggest problem I had was a leaking ceiling in the bedroom. This was above the entrance way and would drip badly in the morning and evening, I guess when the room above was using the showers. But it was really flooding my entrance - which was tiles and I slipped on this one morning, very dangerous. I mentioned this to the staff twice and it was never fixed. A second leak sprung on my last night and the ceiling is stained with a history of patchwork maintenance covering previous leaks.
5. They charged 400 for a one-way transfer from the airport, which is ridiculously overpriced - and it was just a normal taxi anyway. Organise one yourself on arrival and pay less than half that.
6. It was Ramadan so there was no breakfast buffet. This is absolutely fine, but the a la carte breakfast was terrible and was served very slowly.
7. I never ate the dinner buffet but it did look very good, with lots of choice.
8. The hotel is centrally located, with a Giant and other eating options within walking distance.
This hotel has such poor service and lacking even the basic facilities it promises, I recommend staying elsewhere.
Approximately on the 28th of November 2019, my staff checked in for a week. On that particular day, she experienced a horrific situation. The night before at approximately 1.30am, the door bell rang twice. Out of fear, she remained silent till the door bell went off.
Then at approximately 6pm, my staff called the house keeping to clean the room. Whilst the house keeper was in the room, an unknown man came barging in the room and proclaimed as the house keeper and shouted "housekeeping!". And the REAL housekeeper and my staff was shocked. And that man ran away!!... How horrible is that? What if something would have happened to my staff???
My staff immediately contacted the front desk and the "real" housekeeper said that "oh i thought its your friend" in malay language. My staff explained that even at 1.30am there was someone who rang the door bell. They replied "oh theres a mistake on your doorbell".
REALLY????? This hotel is just outrageously horrible. We urged our staff to lodge a police report. But to keep things calmer she said lets let it go as it serves no purpose. She immediately checkout and got her husband to pick her up.
The management of the hotel called the security in to check the floors and what about CCTV? not functional?? This is totally unacceptable.
The manager furthermore, offered to take my staff out for dinner the next she comes. Bribery in place???
Im sorry but the next that this happens. I shall call the police instead. Cause the management is utter irrresponsible and THIS HOTEL IS UNSAFE FOR WOMEN!
Right smack in town with easy walking access to food outlets.. I arrived lil' bit early about 11.30am and they checked me in with no hassle.. Pleasant stay even thou on a 1 night business trip
And...what i like most is workable friendly staff...right from the doorman to the manager..
