Detailed Reviews
Wanted to try something new and decided to stay here during our overnight trip to Taiping. Room was small and basic with essentials such as aircon, comfy bed, TV, minimal toiletries as well as an attached bathroom with hot water. Since room was made out of a metal container, afternoons were hot. Suggest to have a bench or shelves so that bags are not placed on the floor. Would be nice to have a beanbag or two so that we on't have to sit on the bed all the time. Also to have more hooks in the room and bathroom. Since it was a weekday during our stay, the place was quiet. The owner, Wen Jing responds very quickly to WhatsApp messages. Overall, it was adequate for a 1-night stay.

Arrived around 6 PM & checked in on our own by the host’s guide with entering the passcode for front door & the passcode of a key box for the door key. The place was quiet yet calming, relaxing & at the same time it was spacious, clean. The room was amazing as I stayed in a room for 3 & I think the maximum in a room is 4 people. The service provided by the host & the cleaners were super friendly. I had a fun stay here & will definitely come again! Thank you so much for the warm & friendly act.

The concept of a container hotel is too good not to try out - and it really works! The containers are minimalistic but modern, the outside area is nice, the staff were super helpful over WhatsApp and I mean it's just fun to sleep in a container. The hotel is a short taxi ride away from the city centre, in peaceful suburban surroundings. They don't serve food but ask them for directions to the nearest, super chill outdoor plastic chair mini food court place, which has tons of options plus ambience to die for.

The room in Cozytainer is just right if you are looking for a clean bathroom to clean and shower, and a soft comfortable bed and pillow for a good night sleep. Room and bathroom are clean.
Cozytainer's concept is minimalist. The only extras are the wall mounted TV (which I hardly turn on) and a hair dryer. Toiletries are basic. No branded toiletries here. If you are used to your branded toiletries then you should bring them.
For a room made out of a container, the room is reasonably soundproof.
There is a well appointed restaurant (The Warehouse 1957) which serves good Western food.
Wen Jing is very warm, friendly and very helpful. All other staffs at Cozytainer and Warehouse 1957 are also warm and friendly.
I hope that Wen Jing would continue to maintain the current standard, and improve the property gradually.

We booked the Standard room
Which is the culvert room (room made from huge concrete drain rings). Room was very small but basic amenities is there. Room is clean. No TV, no mini fridge, but comes with an attached bathroom (very small but for us are ok) … those with bigger body size will have issues with this room!
The surrounding of the hotels are nice and beautiful. There’s a cafe inside the hotel but only opens at 12pm.
Overall, is an experience.

-no wifi in the circular pods near the pool (can't even load the ookla speedtest page); very limited wifi in the rooms of the main buildings- remote work isn't possible here
-all the rooms smell VERY strongly of mold- i checked 4 before giving up. woke up with itchy eyes and headache
-many little bugs on my bed
-a single shared kettle, fridge, and trash can in the common room, but they try to keep you out of there and patronizing the cafe by 1) not telling you about it and 2) not letting you turn the air conditioner on even though it is unbearably, sweaty hot inside. there are signs all over threatening a rm 200 fine for turning the air on!
-the cafe doesn't open until 2pm, so you can't even pay for coffee/tea in the morning, forget complimentary
-not walking distance from anything, so an extra 10-14 ringgit per day just to get to town and back via grab
-they swore up and down that it's non-smoking, but staff does nothing about people smoking all around the pool and on the shared balcony/stairwell
-there was a (planned, easily found on the TNB electric company website) 8 hour power outage one night from 10:30 pm to 6:30 am; they don't have a generator here, pretended it was a surprise, and staff hid in the cafe kitchen until owner showed up to promise refunds to people who left to find a new place in the night . . . but not if you booked through a booking site, you have to contact them ðŸ«

Like the name, this place is cozy and made of refurbished containers. Check-in and check-out is a breeze and we were allowed to check in an hour early. Welcome drinks are provided next to the reception. The staff is friendly and informative.
Situated in a quiet neighbourhood with places of interest within 5 mins drive away.
Went as a family of 7 (3 generations) and booked the 8-person room (a 40-footer container). What I love about the room is that not all beds are bunk beds. A double (queen-sized) bed separated by a partition is perfect for my parents. My kids loved the bunk beds.
The room comes with the usual amenities but there was no mini fridge or electric kettle. There is a water dispenser at the reception which was unfortunately 'rosak' but we were provided with (500ml) mineral water in the room.
Will definitely be back for a longer stay.

Nice room and environment. Good customer service before check-in and after check-out. I have requested for anniversary room decoration. The hotel has decorated my bed nicely. You should try this hotel.

Cozytainer had a great automated check in system. We got clear information about how to use the system long before we arrived.
WenJing was our contact person and she helped us with everything we needed with a smile on her face!
The room room was very cozy and had everything we needed. Everything looked clean and fresh. Overall a very nice stay at Reserve The Cozytainer!
