During this Chinese New Year, me and my family back to Taiping to celebrate this CNY day. We booked the room for my family and requested for non smoking room and large bed. They given us a large bed however it is a smoking room for us. My wife smell the smoke and my daughter get sick after a while in the room due to that. Room was fully booked already due to this festive season. And it force me to move out from this hotel and look for another one. I had told myself that I wont back to this hotel anymore in future. OMG...

Worst experience ever. The room is hot and request for the staff to check for twice and they keep saying is cold. Been so tired changing room so the second times we move the bed under the aircond. Even the hotel lobby air-cond is better than the room. Been request to changing room for three times until 1am.

Room is quite spacious. Bed is firm and comfortable. Towels are a good size and plush. In dire need of new paintwork, thorough cleaning and maintenance. The whole place feels grimy especially the carpet, the window latch is broken so the noise from outside seeps in, air cond is not cold enough and there are stains on the walls and in the toilet. Some weird details such as no latch on the bathroom door so it cannot close securely from inside the room, roller blinds instead of curtains (which is cut so narrowly it just barely covers both sides of the window). It is next to the train track and an elevated expressway so traffic noise in the middle of the night can be disturbing, particularly with a broken window latch. Not as near as expected to Taiping lake gardens; it's about 10 minutes drive. Wouldn't stay again since there are many other nearer, better hotels around.

Stayed her a couple of times. Budget with value and commendable room size. Beds are good and shower / bath size reasonably good for the price. Best location as for next to mall and hyper mart and the food court sits below. Rooms for improvement include the parking. Should be well lit and well arranged. The room lighting should be a bit brighter and i have notice the dampness and the smell of the carpet. Not a showstopper but not so welcoming as well. The management should consider eliminating the carpet issue especially the hallway. Only minor minor glitches which is avoidable

Stayed for 2 nights, Christmas Eve, in 2 connecting Standard rooms at RM 110/night per room. Booked through phone just the day before, no credit card details required to secure booking Pros: 1. Clean - very happy with the standard of cleanliness for a budget hotel; toilet is clean and not slimmy, room carpet is clean, bedsheets and towels are not worn off, towels changed daily. 2.Value for money -Very cheap rate for peak holiday season. soap and bottled water replenished daily, each room has hair dryer. 3. Location - just opposite Taiping Sentral mall and Tesco, and not far from major attractions. Standalone building, shared basement parking with food court next door 4. Look & feel - lobby and hallway welcoming and well lit, room setup and furniture simple but modern look 5.Responsive - staff are very friendly and responsive; safebox was not working but they were quick to fix. Cons: 1. Nothing major.

Pros:- -Big Room -Friendly Staff Cons:- -Near to railway (which really bother me as I can sleep with the noise). -although room are big but its rather empty. -Air-con in the hot afternoon do not really provide any help. If you are only looking for a room to sleep at night. This is a good choice and as the price is reasonable.

Terrible wet carpet smell when we arrived in the evening and checked into our room. The housekeeping did not change the towels or replenish the toiletries and we had to request for them. i have stayed in this hotel many times and this time round, the maintenance has gone down and they are not keep up the standards

A great location surround with food court and shopping malls in 5mins walking distance. I had enjoyed a night movie in shopping mall once I back from travel trip. Although this is a budget hotel but the room size is bigger with clean environment. Nothing much to complaint what I can say.
