A hotel with an upmarket image and prices that is loathe to offer a discount to single guests. Offers a range of rooms and suites that really aren't anything special at the price, all have air-con, fridge, basic cable TV and ensuite shower, toilet and some, a welcome bath. Restaurant is large and sumptuous, but offers pretty bland Thai food...

Great little hotel for a reasonable option in Pakse. Rooms are clean with good maid service amenities. AC works well and the washroom is clean with hot water. I would not recommend the free breakfast unless you are accustomed to SEA style cousins. Location is very close to many good restaurants, especially good French cuisine. The staff are all young...

First of all: I was looking in many hotels, and have seen some real terrible rooms. This is tropic area and mildew is nearly everywhere - not only in bathrooms. So I am very happy, that the Sang Aroun really made a big, big difference. The big plus: it is very clean. The rooms are made daily, if you wish....

We ended up here for a night as the other decent options were full or way below any standard for the price. We ended up with a junior room for 160,000 which is the most we paid for a hotel in Laos. The hotel was luxury for us given our travel style. Our room was small and had low ceilings....

We stayed in the hotel for a night. Front desk staff were welcoming. Rooms are clean. Hotel provided complimentary breakfast too. Only one English speaking staff was in duty while checking in. Had a tough time communicating to them while checking out since their English speaking staff was not present. Decent hotel for the 200,000 kip a day.

The hotel has a grand appearance with an expansive and welcoming reception. Check-in was swift enough and I had high expectations. The room I was given had a support beam for the ceiling barely 6ft high running through the centre of my room. I hit my head several times. The air-con was below the bed and smelt of damp. Everything...

Our 250,000 kip room was very nice and clean with a beautiful view from the fifth floor of the mountains. Unfortunately the air con unit was not strong enough to keep the room cool. The other rooms I looked at had the same air con unit so I assume they all have the same problem.
