This is a grand hotel in very impressive grounds. The problem however is that it's perhaps past its best, or hasn't been maintained as it deserves. It's clean, and has amazing potential, but just needs some care and attention. The pool could do with a lick of paint and aspects of the rooms are just average. For example, our room... More

The old stately architecture offers very spacious rooms (to large to keep them clean?) The hotel park must have been very nice at some point in the past. September 2016 it wasn't. Slipprey paths lead to a closed pool and dead fountains in a little forest. Their green stale water might be the origin of the plague of mosquitos in... More

I have just got back from a week at the hotel, upon arrival the gentleman at the desk gave us a map of the local area, local train schedules and was incredibly helpful. They put our luggage in our room when it was ready, as me and my partner decided to go and explore the town due to delays with... More

My stay in this hotel was very enjoyable and my room was very clean. Ok the gardens have seen better days but still a great place to relax. Don't expect internet connection in your room as it only seems to work in reception but l still enjoyed my stay and would return.

Don't be fooled by the pics and this place is not a 4 star...maybe in the 70s. Mould in ceiling, mildew smell, broken shower, hair in bath/shower, grubby curtains, AC doesn't work properly. When filling the bath the water had metal particles all through it and wouldn't clear. Staff did not fix faults after being reported. Told to use room... More

We stayed here 3 nights in August for a trip to Herculaneum and Pompeii. It is a lovely local hotel, within 5minutes walk of Herculaneum and less than 10 minutes to the local train station which takes you to Pompeii, Naples or Sorrento. The rooms were spacious and clean. There is a lovely swimming pool in the garden where families... More

We travelled as a family of 8 - 6 adults, a baby and a small child and stayed here for 3 nights. We chose this hotel because of the pool and proximity to Naples, Pompeii and Vesuvius. From the website this rather grand hotel looks like it must be surrounded by parks and gardens when in truth it is bizarrely... More
