We were planning to stay at Come Inn but there was nobody at home so we went next door to Halfway. Having read the reviews about Halfway G H it was not really on our plan but we had little choice. Actually, it was fine, we had a room with twin beds, a clean western toilet and steaming hot shower...

I was reluctant to stay here, due to the reviews I'd read on trip advisor but, having arrived at the Tea Horse too early in the day to stop, we decided to press on. What greeted us what a pleasant surprise. Although overpriced (200RMB for a basic private room), the view from the room was amazing and the room was...

The view from halfway is stunning. The room was clean and the electric blanket a nice touch. Shower was ok. Lights blinked on and off at night, but I did manage to power my phone. The service and food were awful. The staff have terrible unhelpful attitude. And the food was inedible. If one has to eat there just order...

After hiking for nearly seven hours all you want is a friendly welcome, warm showers, hot food and soft beds. We received none of that. When we arrived the girl at reception seemed very unhappy to see us and flounced all the way through the check in process with much eye rolling and slamming of keys. When we got to...

Terrible. Obviously riding on the recommendations of lonely planet and that. Staff are rude, no customer service at all. Its like your bothering them when you want to order breakfast. Dorm rooms are okay, more expensive than other guesthouses too at 40cny. No hot water, morning or night. Broken floorboards, mould. Warm enough blankets to combat the lack of heating....

I rated 3 stars because it's Not GREAT. It is really good though, decently priced, food is pretty good And the view is amazing! Definitely good enough for the middle of the mountains ! We had a twin room the bed was nice but the hot water in the shower didn't work - oh well!

From the moment we arrived here, it was clear that they cannot cope. We were kept waiting an hour for the room as it was being cleaned - well it wasn't. Cigarette buts and old used tissues on the floor, filthy bathroom and hairs in the bed. Nasty. Dinner is a similar experience. They are so busy, we ordered at...

stayed in a private room for one night. the room was ok and we had nice view over the gorge. the main problem was the bathroom whice was full with mold and looked more like a cemetery for diferent kinds of insects than a place to take a shower. food was good and the prices were reasonable.

Stayed here while we did tiger leaping. The room was ok and the buildings aspect and design amazing but the bathroom was horrific. We aren't fussy but the smell or raw sewerage, mould on the walls and used plastic soap packets etc shows they just don't care. Top three worst places we have stayed in 3 months of backpacking. Upon...

We decided to sleep at Come Inn (about 5 minutes before Halfway) and paid 80 yuan for a private room w/private bath. However, we went to the Halfway Lodge for dinner and met tons of travelers. It was clearly THE place that most people stayed. We were happy with our decision because we met some other travelers who were paying...
