Lovely views of the town and the countryside from the hotel rooms. Very good service and assistance. The hotel stuff is kind and polite, attentive. Restaurante service is very good also and the local Sicilian food served is honestly excelent. They also serve a local Sicilian beer that's great. We had a great stay there. We recommend it if you're planning to spend some time in San Michele di Ganzaria.

This is the third time I have stayed here and I can thoroughly recommend it. Some of the staff speak some English and they are helpful in a kind of old fashioned way - very laid back but efficient and competent. The rooms have a lovely feel - uncluttered but homely. The restaurant adjoining is fabulous: family run and with true attention to a wide and traditional taste palate. Local ingredients and warm, friendly table service. Slow food at its finest!

Hotel is modern so rooms on the minimalist side but very clean. Staff friendly but no options to eat out in the town apart from the restaurant adjacent to the hotel. We had an average meal there . Breakfast in hotel ok Main advantage of staying here for us was the proximity to the Roman Villa which enabled us to get there pretty much as it opened and thus enjoy a very pleasant visit before the coachloads arrived!!!

Been there for our lunch and although it's a bit off course to arrive there. San Michele Is a fraction off off the village of Piazza Armerina... In the heart of Sicily.... It's position uphill makes the view superb... Thumbs up for that! The staff is nice and also the owner. He suggested other things to replace finished items and hence he managed to create a scrumptious plate of fresh seafood.... Great! Fish cooked into optimal taste and also the Bbq which I opted for.... Grilled to perfection live on wooden BBq... Wow! Another plus is that the place is good and it's prices are reasonable! All in all it's highly reccommendable! Thumbs up 👌

Visiting family during the San Cono festival. Hotel pomara is very convienent. The staff is very friendly. Nice rooms, good breakfast. Bed is a bit firm. Great view of the village. Heard the restaurant is excellent, but family meals..... The street up to the hotel is steep with turns, but worth the climb. The village is interesting. A grocery store just down the hill. Great place for a reception or meeting. Very nice grand piano in the spacious lobby -- nice for a small concert.

We called from our B&B in Agrigento the night before we stayed to book this friendly hotel. We drove from Agrigento to Villa Romana del Casale, and then through Piazza Armerina to Hotel Pomara, which was the perfect place to rest for the night. We arrived later in the afternoon, checked in, and then drove to Caltagirone to see the Scala di Santa Maria del Monte, and managed to make it back just before dark. The hotel reception is lovely, while our twin bedroom was fairly spacious with a nice bathroom and a balcony overlooking the village and distant hills. We had demi-pension and had a wonderful meal at their restaurant, while breakfast the following morning was fine.

Chose San Michele Di Ganzaria as a different place to visit. Locals very friendly. Recommended by a former "local" and was not disappointed. A good place to stop when traversing the island. Food was average but true Sicilian.

Stayed 15 nights. Very good value for money. Is exactly what it says - a 3 star experience although the pool is probably closer to 5*!!! Room spacious with balcony with a lovely view onto the small village. It's location is good if you have a car (in fact this is a must) as its central to everywhere. Very clean rooms (although a bit dated but this was not a problem). More than excellent service- staff were unspeakably kind, helpful and friendly - really amongst the best experienced anywhere even though their English was not that good. 5* service and attitude from the staff without hesitation. Decent breakfast - sweet cakes, fruit, cereals but also fresh rolls, ham and cheese. The pool is divine- kept crystal clear, it's large and nicely set into the mountain- be aware it can get busy during the day as it seems locals could also purchase use, but early mornings and late afternoons it was blissfully quiet. One thing to be aware of - over the 15 night we were there, there were about 5 weddings at the hotels. Lovely atmosphere, pool and hotel nicely decorated, but if you find it hard to sleep with loud music downstairs this may be an issue. It was nice to see a real family atmosphere at the hotel - both on a daily basis and in the wedding events. Also nice to see lots of Italians staying there. Very fast Internet. Booked hotel for a very competitive price. Would stay again.

From the outside it is not an attractive hotel as it needs some maintenace and upkeep but the rest is perfect. A family run hotel, helpful staff with a smile on their face. Clean rooms with a great view of the small village (circa 4,000 people). The pool is quite big and the water temperature is cool with a nice and relaxing pool area. A great restaurant serving delicious food (really good food and surely not to be missed).
