Great views, amazing food and great facilities. It could do with a revamp of the rooms which look like something straight out of the 90's. Paying for internet is a very outdated business model. If a meager coffee shop can give free wifi out I don't see why a hotel that costs of R2000/night in peak season could charge additional... More

This is an old hotel set in one of the nicest parts of South Africa. I liked the revamped rooms with tasteful decor, good beds, overhauled bathrooms and the most amazing seaviews of the majestic Indian Ocean. The staff were phenomenal. The food was good, although the options were limited. The ambience and good service made for a pleasant stay.... More

This place is old and tired and needs a revamp. Rooms need an overhaul. Great views and lovely staff, food was included in our package but it was not a great selection. Fruit was plentiful on the road side but not in the hotel which was very strange.

We recently booked a weekend at the hotel and the only rooms available were the so-called deluxe rooms. On arrival we found the room not to our liking and complained to the duty manager. The manager then really went out of his way through ensure that we received an acceptable room. It was my partner's birthday on the Sunday and... More

We were pleasantly surprised with wholesomeness. The hotel is very obviously family orientated, the room felt a little spartan and in need of aesthetic help, our bathroom, although on the small side, we think the upgrades gave it a good feel. The food was unpretentiously good and if you are partial to currie, have lunch on the patio, where you... More

There arn't many hotels like this one left. It has an old world feel. The staff are helpful and friendly. They however lack knowledge of local attractions. Food is generally really good, tasty and well prepared. Great local curries (7)of them!) are on the menu. Fantastic views from rooms. Rooms are dated but bathrooms appear to be new. Towels need... Stayed here recently for 3 nights. It is a very old hotel with sections of it upgraded. We booked the deluxe room which was average, nothing special. The bathroom has been upgraded and finishes are modern but our bathroom was filthy. The bath was gritty and I had to give it a good clean before I used it. It seemed... More

This hotel is situated on a magnificent stretch of beach on the KwaZulu Natal Coast. Endless stretches of sand to meander along and no crowding of people. The Hotel is clean, functional and, after a recent upgrade, the amenities are fresh and modern. The room size is good and the unobstructed view from the top level suites, is spectacular. It... More

Well run hotel, excellent views, friendly staff and the food is great. Had a nicely appointed room with a balcony. The deck is great overlooking the beach but my one criticism is that the deck never has sufficient umbrellas. Will return
