We decided to eat dinner in this restaurant after visiting Ettal Abbey and sat outside on the terrace in the evening sun. The menu consisted of typical Bavarian dishes and some vegetarian options. Service was average and not overly friendly or welcoming. Our meals also were unadventurous, but adequate. It's a lovely venue in a beautiful spot, but the dining... More

Our room was spacious and the accomodations very nice. Located across the street from the historic Ettal Basilica and associated school, monastery and winery, the hotel has a very good dining room and private dining area. The food was delicious and traditional. The facilities were very clean.

The hotel is amazing, the room was huge, spotless, all refurbished with nice wood. Also the rest of the hotel including meeting room, restaurant, breakfast room were beautiful, and during the meeting breaks plentiful food and drinks - both sweet and savory - were provided. Food quality was good, and despite various comments here I found the selection of the... More

On the afternoon of the day before we were due to fly, we received an email from the hotel informing us that due to overbooking, with regret they had to cancel our reservation. They put forward the name... More
