There is no better beach (Meads Bay) where you can walk out of your room barefoot directly onto the white sand for a long stroll or a swim in the crystal blue sea! We love The Frangipani because many of the rooms offer full kitchens or at least mini kitchens and all with ocean views.
The staff is friendly and accommodating to all your needs whether it be restaurant reservations, rental car or taxi services, or any housekeeping needs. Pool service is great and there is always a chair and towel ready for you at the beach or poolside.
We love walking Meads Bay and hitting the many different restaurants for lunch and dinner which all have a casual vibe. Breakfast on site at the Straw Hat Restaurant is included and the food is amazing. You can also eat lunch and dinner here as well.
The location of this small boutique resort is perfect for exploring the best parts of the island. The “west end” of Anguilla is home to so many great restaurants and close by beaches, that you’ll never run out of new places to explore.
Pro-tip: if you’re staying for more than just a few days I would recommend renting a car which can be dropped off prior to your arrival so that you can easily explore. One round trip taxi ride to a restaurant will be the cost of a car for the whole day.

After reading all the overwhelmingly positive reviews of the Frangipani we can easily say they are accurate. This place is awesome. John and all the Frangipani team went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. The accommodations were clean and cozy and we had a great view of the beach and ocean.
This was our first major trip during the pandemic and were a bit concerned about traveling, but we always felt safe on the island and the staff at the hotel and Straw Hat were following all the safety protocols to ensure everyone was safe. The island of Anguilla overall seems to be doing a very good job with their safety protocols and that really helped us feel safe and be able to fully relax on our trip. John also helped us coordinate our needed testing for our return home to make things super easy.
The Meads Bay area is perfect, lots of places to grab food and drinks and the beach and water area pristine. We did have rental car and made a few trips to explore the island and think Meads Bay is the best location to stay (check out Shoal Bay though too if you have chance). The Straw Hat breakfasts included were great and their staff would also bring food and drinks right out to you on the beach or pool area which was super convenient.
We hope to be able to return sooner than later.

From the moment we set foot on the property (greeted with cold rum punch) we were made to feel at home and greeted with top notch hospitality. The hotel’s impressive management team catered to our every request. We were lucky enough to meet Scott and Shannon (hoteliers) while we were there and also got acquainted with Frangipani’s new general manager John. I can’t overstate how impressed I was with the authentic eagerness this trio exhibited to ensure every patron had the most epic stay. The Frangi team’s attention to detail, customer service, and genuine interest in visitors’ experience rivals any service I’ve ever received while traveling abroad (or domestically) at luxury properties.
Not only was everyone at the property friendly, they were effective. Every ask we made was executed flawlessly. From arranging rental car delivery, booking restaurant reservations, scheduling COVID-19 testing appointments (for reentry into the USA), requesting taxis, and navigating wedding vendors the team at Frangi exceeded our expectations at every turn. I think our decision to get married at the hotel later this year, after staying on property, is as full-throated as an endorsement can be.
Some quick tips about Anguilla: 1) rent a car—Uber hasn’t made it to the island and taxi fares can add up. 2) spend time on a boat—the Frangipani has the Frangicat anchored in the bay and is worthwhile if you can find time to catch a ride around the island. 3) trust the concierge team for activities and restaurant recommendations—one of the places we stopped by for drinks (based on Scott and Shannon’s recommendation) wasn’t advertised online and was just incredible. We simply can’t wait to return and owe an incredible time to Shannon, Scott, John, and the rest of the team at the Frangipani.

Our family of 5 could stay at Frangipani Resort on wonderful Meads Bay for 2 weeks. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we followed Anguilla’s strict policy and protocol and stayed at the Frangipani Resort for the 2 week quarantine in a “bubble” and it was wonderful. Frangipani Resort is located on a large beach front property and we never felt in tight quarters. Scott and Shannon Kircher and their fantastic team including Candice, Shanesha, Susan and Shara at the front desk, the beach team and housekeeping team were always there to assist us anytime. We had a great time relaxing on the beach and staying active with water sports but could also study and work online thanks to the excellent internet connection. Having the delicious restaurant Straw Hat and its chef Ralph on the property was definitely a plus. We loved our stay and 3 bedroom accommodation with amazing view.

1st time Frangipani guests & we will return! We were thoroughly impressed with every aspect of this Boutique Resort. We stayed in the Deluxe Ocean View Room, one of the new rooms above the restaurant. We had concerns of possible noise from Straw Hat. We didn’t experience any. The room was fantastic and other than a need for a small shelf or basket in the shower and a higher quality hair dryer (but they do provide a great steamer!), it exceeded our expectations, as did housekeeping that came twice a day. The beach and watersports staff were tremendous, and the bar servers were always available. We did not need to worry about securing chairs at the beach or the pool. We anticipated going to the Best Buy Grocery at the start of the week to stock the room, but after our first morning we decided we did not want to waste one minute away from Meads Bay and Frangipani. Straw Hat had a nice selection of wines, so we bought a few bottles for the room. The included breakfast credit of $15/pp was adequate and other than small upcharges for some items, it more than met our needs. Straw Hat was excellent for lunch and dinner. We determined after several taste testing’s, Straw Hat has the best rum punch on Mead’s Bay! We dined at Straw Hat, Sharky’s, Mango’s, Picante, Ocean Echo, Blanchard’s & lunches at Blanchard’s Beach Shack, and a drink at Elvis’s. John, the GM of Frangipani was always available and would check in on our experience throughout the week; super nice gentleman. The entire staff was friendly, hardworking, and fun. We can’t wait to return.

The Frangipani is the most perfect resort we’ve stayed at anywhere! The rooms sit right next to the beautiful Infinity pool and the beach (literally only steps away), which makes lounging all day a breeze, even if traveling as a family! The beach the property sits on in Meads Bay is unrivaled… crystal clear water, calm seas, warm temp. ALL (literally every single person) on the staff is wonderfully thoughtful, personal, and caring and genuinely want you to enjoy your stay at the property and on the island. And if all this isn’t enough, just take a ride on the Hobie cat at the property and you’ll never want to leave. My newlywed wife and I were extremely fortunate to have spent 4 weeks at the Frangipani from Mid July to Mid August for our Honeymoon.
Our Travel Day: We flew Southwest from Dallas to San Juan PR and then took the easy 45 minute flight into Anguilla on Silver Airways/Seabourne (starting in December American Airlines will have direct flighrs from Miami, which will be awesome!) The covid protocols were a breeze to apply online, to get through at the airport, and while on the island. The nasal swab touched the tip of our noses, we barely even felt it!
The Hotel Arrival: Upon arrival we were greeted by the receptionist and guest service team who quickly checked us in, and carried our luggage into our wonderfully air conditioned room. We were so excited to see a big heart full of flowers on our bed and a bottle of champagne as we entered our room… a beautiful start to the honeymoon. Since we flew into Anguilla, we were settled into our room and it was only lunchtime, so we got the entire today out by the pool!
The Amenities: A big reason we chose to go on a month long trip to the Frangipani was because we knew we would be at a quiet resort with great wifi service so we can still work for part of our trip. With easy access to the beach and pool from our rooms, it was easy to get our work meetings in between drinks by the pool. We never had one issue with the WiFi which is very important for most travelers in today’s world. Next, we had a couple boat days on the “FrangiCat”. The catamaran is huge (says its 12 person capacity, but I’m sure it could fit 30!) came stocked with wine and rum punch and 2 awesome boat captains! The boat trip took us all over the great spots of the island for snorkeling, rock jumping, and beautiful views of the island. In addition to the big boat, the Frangipani also has a smaller boat for water sports right on meads bay! Lastly, and while We didnt take advantage of it because the drinks were flowing, the indoor 2nd floor gym overlooking the ocean was one of a kind!
The Staff: Every guests we spoke to had the same reaction as the next… you come as a stranger and leave as family. Every member of the Frangipani staff is helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Their service is something that I can’t even attempt to describe because I wouldnt be able to do it justice!
Lastly, I highly recommend the Frangipani to any honeymooners, family trip, or a long weekend getaway!! Thanks for everything Frangipani… We will be back soon!!

The about page on their websites promises the above. This was my fourth visit to beautiful Anguilla in 3 years, my first at Frangipani and this was not a luxury experience. Luxury was not required, but good service was expected. I was very disappointed with our choice of stay, in my opinion this is a 3.5 star property.
I contacted the hotel prior to arriving about other details, and asked to have a room with two doubles. We arrived on Friday afternoon, and departed on Monday morning. The two doubles were actually twin beds for two middle aged adults, also the room had no door to the bathroom and a half shower door for the toilet, no privacy. A non working steamer was in our room and I called to ask for an iron and ironing board, both delivered to our room, both in poor quality, the ironing board was completely rusted and the iron transferred black particles and stained my clothing, so I called and ask for another iron which I didn’t get til Sunday night after a asking about it multiple times.
The air conditioning in the room was also not working properly, after contacting the staff twice about it and sending someone twice, they offered us to sleep in the room across the hall, noting the unit was working properly and much more comfortable. The next morning, I asked management if we could keep that room due to the air conditioner working properly and was told a technician had been called to repair the unit and we could not move.
The wait staff at the pool did not greet me upon arrival, no water service, spilled my drink on me with no apology.
This was my first and only visit, I don’t agree with the inviting statements on your website. I think the proper thing to have done would have been to move us to a better room. I question why this did not happen? Is it because we booked on Hotwire? Or?

Frangipani is great! My wife and I stayed for 4 nights. Everything was just perfect!
Scott and Shannon are amazing hosts and do a great job making sure everything is perfect. The staff here are incredible and treat you like family. From the pool, the beach, Strawhat Restaurant, dinner reservations at other venues, this is a magical place to visit and Scott and Shannon do a superb job!
I've been all over the world and the beach here is a 10! The sand is soft both on the beach and in the water. We took their boat, the FrangiCat on a beautiful 4 hour tour of the area. I highly recommend doing that.
Yes, you have to jump thru a few hoops because of Covid to get here, but it really isn't bad. After experiencing it it would not deter me from coming here again. Covid test before we left the States and a Covid test when we got off the ferry at Anguilla. Again, nothing that would keep me home.
If you are looking for a beautiful beach resort with amazing staff and hosts then this place is for you! We already planned our next trip back in May!

We have been going to Frangipani for several years now and we are among the many loyal guests who return again and again. The family ownership and the staff are very professional and personable and we are always welcomed back enthusiastically. The grounds and beach are beautiful and the location is excellent, with many of the best bars and restaurants in walking distance.

Hi and thank you for your question: Frangipani's main pool on the beach is between 3 - 5 ft deep and as a result is always nice and warm so we find there is no need to heat it.
