Stayed one night before boarding a ship. Lovely hospitality you would expect at a bed & breakfast. Love the view from the community space overlooking the bay! Enjoyed the dogs and cats - thankfully we were prepared with our allergy supplements. If I'd been traveling alone, I would have liked to hang there for a longer. Had the best food...

We have a lot of guests who stay with us because they are just about to join a sailing trip or just returning from one (or both). Mango Beach Inn is the only property to directly overlook the famous Marigot Harbour and the constantly changing scene featuring boats of all sizes from mega yachts to the banana seller on a...

Dear TripAdvisor, Having a WONDERFUL time here at "MANGO BEACH INN", in BEAUTIFUL Marigot Bay, St. Lucia! Since arriving here, the hotel's lovely English owners Judith and John Verity have made me feel so welcome (so to have their very nice staff) and I have felt so at home! This morning after a very peaceful, COOL night in my "Blue...

Thanks Simon! You certainly made the most of Marigot and made a lot of friends!

The English owners, John and Judith, have made a very comfortable and friendly inn tucked in amongst the trees and flowers (mango, bougainvillia, hibiscus etc etc) on the far side of Marigot bay. Access is by 24-hour water taxi - we only ever waited 5 minutes at most - and free to guests. The sandy beach with palm trees and...

Thanks to these guests who stayed a few weeks and used their time to explore the island - discovering some wonderful places I had never even tried myself (like the Des Cartiers trail). St Lucia is complex and has a depth of history and culture that most Caribbean islands don't - it all depends on how much you want to...

I stayed at this resort for one night before boarding an Island Windjammers cruise. Pros: Room was spacious, and the restaurant is considered one of the best on the island (although pricey). Judith, the owner, is also extremely nice and communicative; she goes out of her way to make sure you have made plans. There's also a nice pool. Cons:...

Thanks Chris. I would just say that our Restaurant, Rainforest Hideaway, is actually around the same price as other restaurants in the bay - and has twice been listed in the Trip Advisor Top Ten Fine Dining restaurants in the Caribbean and described as 'the most romantic restaurant in the Caribbean'. With regard to the beach (a 2 minute walk),...

Judith and her husband certainly go out of their way to make you welcome in this special retreat. Do not worry that it is on an island the ferry/access is very easy. Animal lovers are in for a treat with the 3 dogs and 2 cats. Cracking walk or rather scramble behind the hotel but its not easy and you...

Thanks for the review and for making the point that it's not difficult to get to Mango Beach Inn. The ferry runs pretty much 24 hours a day - you just have to tell the driver to wait up for you (no extra charge) if you plan to stay out after midnight. The great thing about being on the side...

The genuine hospitality and sincerity Judith and Marie showed us was unmatched to anywhere else we stayed in St Lucia. They ensured that our stay at Mango Beach Inn was comfortable. The location of Mango Beach Inn is just perfect, as it is nestled into rainforest. You are one with nature! The view of the sunset was simply beautiful. I...

Hello May, Thank you for your review, we enjoyed meeting you and you are a very inspiring person. I think we all learned a lesson from your visit. It is the second time that we have had guests who did not really understand when they booked that Mango Beach is a ramshackle historic old stone built inn which is set...

I had a fantastic weekend at Mango Beach - Judith, John, and everyone else (including all their lovely animals) were incredibly kind and hospitable. As a solo female traveller I couldn't have imagined a better place to stay. Thanks Constance. We do get a lot of single, independent travellers and we're so glad you enjoyed your visit. You did a lot of exploring and as a sailor perhaps you will come back to Marigot for another trip on Island Windjammers - Marigot is a famous natural deep harbour, much prettier than many modern concrete Caribbean harbours and we...

Thank you for your comments - glad you mentioned the ferry because sometimes guests get concerned about the fact that Mango Beach is only accessable by boat. they understandably think they might just be stuck on the beautiful beach side of the bay and not be able to go anywhere else. A real treat to be staying in someone's home opposed to an impersonal hotel. The shared/ lounge area is so relaxing a cool - it over looks the bay. Impossible not to get very fond of this place. Plenty of local knowledge if you need some guidance about what to do in the area.

Mango Beach Inn is definitely a home with a family running it! But the two rooms we offer our guests are private and both have separate entrances with patios and ocean views.
