My husband first took me to the Pierhouse 17 years ago and we've returned every other year since. It has been my favourite hotel and restaurant in Scotland since that first time as the setting is idyllic. We stayed there on Friday 27th March however we were both extremely disappointed in the presentation of the food. We both had oysters...

Thank you for your review although I am very disappointed by some of your comments which I wish to discuss. First of all I am extremely sorry that you were not entirely happy with all aspects of your stay although the issue that you mention would appear to be the presentation of the food rather than the quality. Starting on...

After a long and twisting drive through some breathtaking scenery we were delighted to find this place, wood burning fires and welcoming staff, topped off by fantastic fresh seafood overlooking the island of Lismore, would highly recommend .

My husband and I spent a very relaxing weekend at the Pierhouse (27th-28th Feb). The setting is idyllic as you will see from some of the photographs already posted. On arrival we received a warm welcome and we were immediately shown to our room. The room was clean, freshly decorated and spacious. I note that the owners had recently invested...

Stayed on a wet and windy Friday night in February 2015. Room (Room 2) was average size, warm and clean. The bed was very comfortable and there was a warm duvet and cotton bedlinen. Staff were welcoming and efficient. For us the food was acceptable but not remarkable, portions were plentiful and there was a good choice at breakfast. The...

Thank you for your review and I am glad you had a comfortable stay with us. Thank you also for your compliments about the staff. I apologise for your chips being undercooked and I understand that this has obviously coloured your impression about our food which is most unfotunate. It is a good point you raised about the sockets and...

Perfect place in a perfect location even in winter. We had room 2 with the dual aspect across the loch and own exterior door, so we could easily walk the few steps down to the loch to see the sun go down, beautiful views over to Lismore. Dinner was a seafood feast served by friendly staff followed by a few...

When my wife and I consider an all too rare break, our criteria tends to be quite obdurate. That's why the Pierhouse qualified with flying colours and from the moment we arrived to snow draped mountains, an azure blue sky mirrored perfectly by the tranquil Loch Linnhe, the scene was set. Warm welcome was followed by unobtrusive questioning in order...
