Il Teatro is situated in a quiet street on the upper side of the main town squares in Spello (itself a beautiful town; full of old buildings, squares and set in lovely countryside). It is actually twinned with the Cacciatore so you may find the reception for some of the time is situated there (about 50m further up the street).... More

Spelling is a fantastic base for exploring the Umbrian hill towns. And teatro Del Albergo is the ideal place to stay. This small hotel is in the center of the town - inside the ancient walls- and offers comfortable and clean rooms with welcome extras, like heated towel bars, a locket breakfast buffet and staff who bend over backward to... The present was a weekend in Spello even if we live in Perugia half an hour away. I wanted two complete days and a night to walk the streets at all hours so we reserved a night at this small but lovely hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and the view from the terrace on the top floor, the room was... More

I reserved a room several weeks ago, because I wanted to be in Spello as the flowers were being prepared for the Infiorata. The Albergo is a lovely hotel in the center of the city.Hotel staff, Giada and Vania are most helpful. A couple of notes, there is no air conditioning, but even with 90 degree temperature, the evening was... More

This hotel is situated in the centre of Spello, perfect for exploring the city. Spello is small enough to explore by foot in less than a day. Many flowers can be found everywhere, thanks to a local street competition. It is also a quiet place to explore surrounding Umbrian cities like Bettona, Bevagna and Assisi. The room we had was... Spello is a delightful little town. You can walk the entire town in a few hours. Even though it was autumn, there were lots of flowers decorating the lane ways. It is very hilly, and the cobblestone streets are very uneven... So it is not a great place to visit for the mobility impaired. Sensible shoes a recommended. There are... More

This hotel is in the heart of the old city of Spello. The old city is one of the best Italian towns we have visited. Not that many tourists but full of wonderful sites and restaurants (23 of them). There are a couple of great walks close by. One following an old Roman aqueduct for four and a half kilometres.... More

A very welcoming hotel. Nice well-appointed rooms, ours with quit a view. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was, certainly by Italian standards, very good and was served on a covered terrace with an unforgettable view. Parking is close to the hotel, however driving in Italian narrow streets is rather stressful.

Spello is a very special place and this is a very special little hotel. The front desk woman was very friendly, the room was spacious and clean, so was the bathroom. We were sorry we didn't have a room with a view, but the terrace with the view is magnificent and you can have your breakfast there.

If you like the idea staying in the midst of an Umbrian hill town, Spello is a fine choice and this is a wonderful hotel, in a great village location with the most fantastic staff - always friendly, helpful, professional, and very accommodating.
