The decoration of the room is maybe a bit dated and the bathrooms are not all in perfect condition, but all in all the hotel is good and the location makes it even better! Staff is always very friendly. The restaurant across the street is part of the hotel, so breakfast is served there. The food there - also for...

My husband (165 lbs, ~75 kgs) lay down on the bed and the headboard broke off. I went to open the cupboard and the knob came off in my hand. I leaned on the newel post going downstairs and that broke, too. The mattress was seriously painful. The room was dusty and smelled strongly of disinfectant. And one morning we...

You arrive via sandy streets with men on horse back and rails outside the houses to tie your horse to. This is El Rocio and Hotel Toruno seems to sum it all up. Our room overlooked the lagoon, nicely furnished, comfortable beds, good bathroom and strong shower. Friendly greeting on arrival and no problem organising a breakfast picnic for an...

Hotel is what it is. Is not a 4* but does not claim to be. Rooms need an upgrade (certainly the en-suites which are shall we say "challenging"). My wife reckons the beds are provided by a professional torturer, HOWEVER the staff are good, and the LOCATION is quite sensational (get a room that overlooks the lagoon). The hotel is...

We stayed in this hotel to be able to visit Parque natural La Doñana, next door to the town. We were given a pleasant room facing the lagoon, where flamingoes, spoonbills, herons and ducks feed. There were few clients during our visit, but should the hotel be full noise could be a problem as walls are thin. Personnel at the...

Even for a two star hotel I would have expected better. The room was definitely in need of an undate and the bed was the most uncomfortable I have slept in in years! The only thing good about it was the view.

We thought we had arrived on a cowboy film set until we looked more carefully and saw all the chapels, or hermitas, around the town. The streets are all sandy and there are rails outside the houses for tying up horses. The Hotel Toruna overlooks the lake on which hundreds of birds come and go, it's absolutely lovely.

Delightful hotel in a lovely position beside a very large lagoon (with masses of water birds including flamingos at the right time of year!). The lagoon was completely dry during our stay (early October) and was being grazed by some of the many horses in the area. El Rocio itself is an extraordinary and unique place (I’m not going to...

Clean, fresh fruit and sherry drink available in foyer, comfortable. Breakfast ok. Restaurant good for evening meal. Ideal place for visiting Donana national park. Rocio itself very interesting with its focus on the annual pilgrimage to the 'Ermita' at Pentecost. Like a Wild West film set.

Clean room, comfortable bed. Air conditioning. Restaurant okay at best. Located on the wetlands but unfortunately dry season. I would recommend. Can walk everwhere but all the streets are sand. The walk along wetlands nice
