Just been to the Bollywood Cottage with friends for a curry, and decided to walk 100 metres down the road to a local pub. Never been to the pub or indeed to Gargrave, but walked in the pub and ordered drinks. Excellent welcome when walking in and a nice feel to the place. The food that was being served also...

One night stay with dinner and breakfast. Good service, good food, nice rooms with excellent en-suite. Breakfast cooked to order. Peaceful village location opposite village church; set back from main road. Would stay again.

My first time back to Yorkshire in 20 years for a surprise birthday party in nearby Skipton. The staff were ever so friendly and a warm welcome and helpful check in made the stay extremely comfortable. I stayed in room 1 on the 8th October. This room had disability access as the room was located on the ground floor so...

Called in here after reading the great reviews on here and wasn't disappointed. Friendly bar with friendly staff, we arrived late and almost missed the chance to order food but the lady behind the bar was great and let us order despite the time. Loved the food, I had a steak pie and it was fantastic, I only just managed...

Very friendly local - went several times with family who live just up the street so perfect location. Didnt have any food but the beer was good and a nice atmosphere. The little beer garden out back was also a nice spot for a pint on a sunny evening.

Called for a last minute table at 8pm on a Monday and was offered a wonderful table in the bar area. The reason we were put there is because our two springers joined us. They were welcomed by most of the men in the bar and another man was very generous giving them some treats. We couldn't believe how busy...

This is no frills good pub. Friendly staff with good homemade food. Great for families and they allow dogs in the bar. We went on a Friday early evening and it was very busy (probably a good sign) and it did feel very crowded, however the service was still good.
