On a bike trip from Sarlat, we arrived early afternoon while the sun was still shining and although cool, we enjoyed cafe au laits outside by the river and then walked the fairly large and varied grounds. Pool was supposed to be heated, but in first week of October was not. Our room was tres charmante though not large. But...

We had a three night stay and were made to feel extremely welcome. Our grasp of French is embarrassing in lack of ability but between us and the fantastic staff we all managed to make ourselves understood. The restaurant was lovely and we dined outside every evening. On our first night we asked if we could have a small dinner...

It's a stunning location and the hotel seems fine enough at first, but it soon becomes a series of frustrations, which i don't expect from a hotel of this level. The pool had frogs swimming in it. Every time you wanted to use the wifi, you had to input long login codes (and you couldn't copy and paste them), every...

If you want peace and quite then come here - close to the Dordogne river and all of the historical towns and villages this hotel sets a high standard of quality. The rooms are quaint and just about large enough. Besides the scenery the real joy of this hotel is the Michelin star restaurant. The food is exquisite and the...

Stayed 3nights in this very pleasant hotel. Lovely position by river and very quiet. Well placed for Dordogne sights. Good sitting out areas, large pool and easy parking. Room on top floor large and well equipped with small terrace at rear. Housekeeping excellent. Dinners well worth its Michelin star - unlike so many starred places where chefs try crazy food...

Truly it was difficult to enjoy the hotel and dining since the prices were so much higher than comparable locations. It was nice and is in a very nice setting. The staff is helpful and attentive. The meal has outstanding elements (mushroom appetizer) and others were "ok" (fish). If this were priced more along the lines of other accommodations and...

My wife and I stayed here for a night on our way back to the UK from Spain. Having stayed here on 2 previous occasions, we were surprised to find that the prices had risen steeply, probably as a result of a Michelin Star. They have a pleasant pool area where we had a swim before dinner and there are...

We were part of a family gathering in this hotel booking many rooms and having every night dinner there. From morning till evening, everything was great: service, swimming pool, breakfast dinner in its one star Michelin restaurant. We loved the fact that this family run hotel is quite small in a very quiet place with the beautiful scenery of a...

I can't really fault the hotel part of this operation. The rooms are a bit small and as it's a small hotel you can be near the road and hear the domestic goings on. The views are as you imagined in the Dordogne, across the little river to the limestone cliffs, and the terrace for drinks is a lovely southern...

A charming place, ideal to forget David, Angela, Donald etc.. Good food ,mood and wine . The Chambon brothers blessed probably the river at the foot of the hotel when it cut the bridge in two. Now calm and well decorated rooms are perfect to rest and discover the Dordogne area. The owner speaks perfect English and having spent some time...
