The hotel reception desk doesn’t seem to ever be manned which is annoying when wanting to check in and out. The staff are all very friendly though. The room was huge and very nice. No water, or tea and coffee making facilities in the room which was disappointing. Breakfast wasn’t included but we paid for breakfast in the bar area each morning which was very good. The pool was not kept clean so we didn’t use it.

Was a last minute decision to stay overnight in Vilanova i la Geltrú and chose Hotel Ceferino as the closest available to the venue. But we were very happy with our choice and would definitely return. Room was spotlessly clean, bed was comfortable and we had a great night's sleep, big bathroom and shower, public parking right across the street (free as put of high season) and friendly staff. WiFi connection was not the greatest in our room but was certainly not an issue.

Stayed for 3 nights while we were celebrating a family wedding. We were unexpectedly given a brand new suite on the top of the hotel which was way beyond our expectations with all facilities, a hot tub and large terrace overlooking the sea. The hotel was clean, the food was fantastic (although breakfast choice was a bit limited), and the staff were friendly and efficient. Very popular bar which was open til late and always packed with locals as well as tourists. Just a short walk over the road to a great beach. Couldn’t be better.

I’ve been visiting the bar and terrace for the last 25 years and it’s really heartbreaking how waiter’s attention towards customers in the terrace has become poorer and poorer every year. They used to be warm, welcoming and attentive. They used to bring some courtesy peanuts or popcorn to accompany your drink. We’ve lost all that. Waiters are not what they used to be. A pity.

This is a beautiful place to have a post dinner drink - if you can get served! The waiters have mastered the art of walking without making eye contact, abysmal service. Not sure if it's that they don't want tourists, but it does get aggravating waiting to be served.

We came across the little town of Vilanova by chance, while driving along the coast. Looking online for a place to overnight, the Ceferino didn't sound like much, but on arrival we were taken aback by how lovely it looked. Pleasant courtyards and gardens, covered and uncovered, outside, inside it was spacious, classy and, quite honestly, luxurious. The rooms themselves are modest but are pleasant and clean and have everything you might need. Staff were excellent, professional and friendly (except for one bad tempered woman who appeared to terrorise both staff and guests alike - despite her unpleasant and unprofessional behaviour, I would give the staff 5 stars). We ended up staying for about four nights rather than one. I would highly recommend the Ceferino. And it's extraordinary good value for money,

It is all about location, premises are pretty and clean, food is good but services is very poor. If you are after a good services and be well treated this place is not for you. If you are just after a nice clean building, on a nice location, few minutes from the sea and good food without worry on waiting for ages to be served by moody staff so here is the place.

I had the pleasure of staying in this lovely little town for a few days while on business. a modest small hotel, very good value, friendly staff and for me the location suited well, just directly across the road from the beach. Rooms are clean and modern, breakfast choice was limited but fine. On street parking can be an issue but that is not really to do with the hotel to be fair.

I've booked a room in Ceferino for my mom, who traveled alone and does not speak good English. I also visited her and spent 1 day in this hotel. Our rooms were VERY different: my room was good, my mom's was dark, smelled strange and some lights and the safe did not work. The staff said they cannot do anything about the lights and the safe.. And my mom had to take her valuables to the beach with her because hotel does not have any liability. But the most disappointing moment was when my mom was checking out. she had to pay for her breakfasts 50 euro, even though she already paid these money when she was checking in !!! The receptionist did not give her a receipt first time she paid and insisted she did not pay for breakfasts. Mom had to pay twice and was very disappointed and sad about it. This is unfair and unacceptable. I do not recommend Ceferino to anyone.

We stayed in Vilanova for one week to have a taste of the Ctalan culture the stay was fantastic what great people in this town
However the hotel and staff were awful. The weaher was terriible and most nights the temp was 0 to 2c and theheating in the hotel wasvery poor weasked for some extra heating but we were told there was n't any but they gave us six extra blankets. This did noit help when we were`sat in the room. The breakfast was cold and the barman was a disgrace. He ignored us most of the time and even let the door entering the bar swing in my wifes face on 2 occasions. I bchallenged the 2nd time but hej ust walked off
We will stay in the Atenea Apts when we return in September,. This hotel and its staff are disgusting and at 120 euros a night a rip of. Dont stay here they are co0ld miserable and very unprofessional
