Hi, we liked the rooms but the location is worst on our whole holiday. From Midnight til 4am there is live music at a venue right on top of here with amps etc that plays nightly (except Mondays we were told). It pervades every room - there are no quiet rooms. We booked a place called the 'Guest House' on...

Had 2 lovely nights at this pousada. The hosts were very accomodating even though they couldn't understand English very well. The rooms were lovely and enormous with comfortable big four poster beds, aircon, mini fridge and shutters to block out light from outside. Location was fantastic right in the middle of the historical centre! Can be slightly noisy at night...

The 200 years old Mansion house turned into a Pousada is located at the heart of the historical town!!! The hotel decorations show a very strong influence from the Portuguese & French colonial times!!! The breakfast is very delicious and utterly Brazilian with fresh local fruits & exotics juices!!! A great place to stay indeed!!!

We stayed there twice, to and from Lençois Maranhenses. First of all, the hostel is in a nice location, just a few meters from the main square of the old town. The rooms are rather spacious and each laid out differently. The first time we got one with a view into the inner courtyard, the second time one with a...

Stayed here just for 1 night to get a flight to Rio de Janeiro. Lay out and decoration of the pousada are interesting. Rooms are spacious and have A/C. Empty mini bar. But... unless you really need to be in this area, I would rather not stay in the historical center of São Luis at all. Brasil has beautiful cities,...

The location is great if you are planning to visit the historical center. Other than that, this hotel is just awful: broken air conditioning, no windows in most of the rooms, doors don't close properly, smelly bathroom, stained bed sheets, bed bugs, ton of mosquito, broken TV, empty mini bar, disgusting breakfast...and when you ask the front desk to address...

If you want to experiment how favelas look like, then it's a perfect stay! Dirty covers, cockroaches in the shower, disgusting breakfast and real noisy place if your room is on the street side. Not to forget the reception service which is mabe optional.

The location, right next to the city's main square and in the heart of the old town, is the best thing. Price is a little expensive but the hotel is very nice, quite colonial indeed. The breakfast was very good! Many things to choose among When it comes to the rooms try to take one away from the main streets...

To be honest, I really liked this Pousada; however, looking back, I think it you have to be in Sao Luis to appreciate it. The whole histoci part of town is completly not well kept, meaning: fallinig apart. So when you go into this pousada, to me, it felt like a paradise. The building is beautiful, the social areas are...
