We stayed 2 x 2 nights at the Swiss Cottage while travelling arround Tioman.. Swiss cottage is in a fabulous location right on the beach. We were lucky enough to have a beachfront bungalow both times and it was wonderful lying in bed looking straight out at the beautiful sea and the sound of the waves lulls.you to sleep......fantastic!!!! The bungalows are very rustic and basic but clean and lovely in their simplicity!!!!The owners and staff Are very friendly and laid back....make you feel right at Home? Thankyou for a lovely stay!!!! The best thing about the Swiss Cottage is the location - right on the beach; so much so that during high tide it felt like the waves are lapping on your feet. The cosy bungalows are entirely wooden and rooms are equipped with mosquito nets (thanks to the thoughtfulness of the proprietor) although the bathroom was quite small. The view from the balcony was enchanting. The Swiss Cottage hosts the Tioman Dive Centre and you can watch professional divers as well as amateurs busy with their activities round the clock. Had there been proper room service and restaurant facility within the premise it would have been the perfect beach holiday.

Swiss Cottage on Tioman Island might not be the choice for everyone. Why? Because you need to have a hobby which goes in line what is available on Tioman Island. And this is either diving or hiking or simply relaxing on the beach. Swiss Cottage has the Tioman Dive Center in their area, which was the reason why we have choosen it. It is one of the first resorts on Tioman Island and is handled with care and love by the owners. The rooms (1 long house with 6 rooms, 3 garden view cottages and 5 sea facing rooms. Rooms are clean, simple and nice. Some are with A/C. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The resort is the last at the beach so it guarantees an empty beach.
