When we arrive at Tioman there are no vacancies as it is a holiday. We look around and find Babura Seaview Resort . There is a vacant room here, with air conditioning, bathroom and wifi for 150 RM. A bit expensive. But there appears a Malay and we take a triple room with him for 100 RM. Unfortunately, the standard is much lower, the room and the furniture old and worn out, it stinks of mustiness and rot. The location is excellent as the hotel is on the beach.

Me and my wife visited this place first week of September ( Weekdays ). The room was quite okay for the first day. We had dinner there. We waited for the Tomyam (small bowl ) for 1hour 5minutes. Finally the Tom Yam arrived. It worst the worst ever Tom Yam ( Tom paste mixed with hot water) that's how it tasted! and so many customers was grumbling about the slow service and the taste. And cats running around the restaurant. We told the owner and the workers they were not bothered at all! WTF right! why the hack need to rare cats in the shop for god sake! its no no no cooool! yucks!!!! the next day from morning till we check-out around 12 pm no water at all and the no one was bothered to acknowledge about this. There are better and cheaper chalet nearby. Please dont ever go here please. Waste of time and money! Most importantly this place NOT HYGENIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…

Stayed 2 nights here. The twin sharing Room is decent with air-cond and hot shower. Basic stuffs are provided such as towel and soap. The location is not too far from the jetty and there is duty free shop less than 5 mins. The restaurant food is good and not too pricey

Very basic accommodation with a restaurant within the compound which faces the sea. A nice place to chill out after a full day of diving. This place is affiliated to Tioman Reef Divers which is under the NAUI school. Next door is Swiss Cottage Resort which is affiliated to Tioman Dive Centre which is under the PADI school. So its really convenient whichever school you decide to enroll in.

Even it is far from jetty but not too far which is about 700m, this chalet is just by the beach! It is also cheap and provided breakfast. Not a good chalet if you want 5 star accommodation but a nice chalet if you just need a comfortable place to sleep and near the beach.

Maybe the only reason I choose this place is the location and it is located right beside Tioman Dive Centre. Rooms are booked a month earlier. Double bed room with aircond. Aircond is the window kind aircond and is very old. It gets awhile before the room is cool. There's ceiling fan to expedite the coolness. The bed is comfortable. There's no TV or Wifi. There's hot water with towels (2 piece) and a very cheap soap. Everything else is pretty bad condition. Restaurant had it for lunch and it was pretty okay. Delicious.

I had an aircon room for 2. It had a double bed and attached bathroom. The room was big and spacious. Lots of room to walk around in. The aircon was cold and quiet. The fan also worked good. Bathroom came with hot water shower. I'd have liked the water pressure to be stronger, but for an island it's strong enough. The attached restaurant to the resort serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast was included in the price of the room. Simple fare, but enough to fuel me for the morning dive. There's toast and butter/jam. There's also tea/coffee. They served nasi lemak one morning and stir fried noodles the next morning. Dinnertime can be busy at the restaurant, so put your order in, and then go get changed in the room. By the time you come out, the food is nearly ready. Saves a ton of hassle just sitting at the table smelling other people's dinner. Portions are good and not too expensive. My compliments to the chef. There's a beach access from beside the restaurant, so it's great for a quick dip in the afternoon. There's a tap by the stairs and a shower where you can rinse off. There's also taps at the bottom of the stairs to each room. It definitely helped to keep my room relatively sand free. If I go back to Tioman, especially Tekek, I'll definitely stay at Babura again.…

The hotel has a restaurant and i had festive choices of food . to name a few, salted egg crab, sweet and sour seabass, butter prawn, seafood tom yam, choices of fruits, fruit punch, white rice, chicken teriyaki and others. the food suitable for 9 hungry people only cost us at about RM300. Located very near to the beach and by the diving center. The location of the resort is just next door to swiss cottage towards the end of tioman's main road leading to Berjaya Hotel. The waiters are friendly however reservation is strongly advised.
