When you go to Tioman a stay at Tioman Cabana is a must! The crew is the best part, big smiles and warm welcome. The dive instructors are awesome, they were so patient and clear training my kids on their first diving experience. The bistro is great local Malay food plus pizza and burgers. The rooms are clean and cozy with a great view. Fall asleep to the sound of the sea. Beautiful sunset location! Will definitely be back highly recommend for solo or family!

All the dishes were so delicious and generous portions. Absolutely recommended. Requested to expedite as I was rushing for my boat and they accommodated. Thank you Tioman Cabana. The view over looking the restaurant is spectacular and I just felt so serene and peace.

If you are searching for one of the best places to learn diving. This is the place.
location: very near to the Tekek Jetty (walking distance, easy to get foods, near to mini mart, near to marine park)
Rooms: nice and comfy (private room). Superb view. Hey, all we need is the beach, right? We sleep on the bed only at night. They have a dormitory as well. Most people come to dive.
Cafe: A WOW. Simple... but too perfect, I can't describe it. You can just sit there and enjoy the vibes. Paradise with many cute cats.
Diving: the best instructors. They only want you to master everything. Be safe; dive with limits. Super cool vibes.
Beach: Clean, blue and turquoise clear water. Beautiful.
Overall: Outstanding. Highly recommended. Definitely will come again and again and again.

After 4 years of not coming to Tioman Cabana (or Tioman as a matter of fact), the place has improved a lot. More rooms, a proper place for merchandise selling, a recycling centre showcase/effort and new faces. Of course, Sham (the owner) is still there.
We spent 2 nights (or was it 3) here. We took the room with a/c. The room was eloquently decorated. including with IKEA bedding. There's a water heater - but it's stil basic. Fortunately, dining is near (they have a cafe), the supermarket is near and breakfast is on the house. The best thing about this place is: it's quite, it's you and the beach and the sand, no late night parties. It's serene, quite and calm.
My slight con: The breakfast is fixed (unlike 4 years ago - every day is different breakfast set - loved that) - food at the cafe slightly on the pricey side (but you still can pay by debit or credit)
Nevertheless, those are minor. Open door to the sea is the best gift of all that supersedes everything.

Location: excellent, within 5-10mins walk form Tekek ferry terminal, nearby there is a duty free shop for cheap alcohol. This is located close to their town yet you get a beautiful beach view right in front of your room, isn't this perfect? Right in front of the room is a house reef with pretty good coral life. This place faces the west, u will get good sunset view
Amenities: All non-motorised equipment (life jacket, snorkel mask, stand up paddle board, canoe) are free for use for room guest. My friend and I could do all the activities throughout the afternoon without worrying about the return time. We even used their canoe all the way to a nearby island - Pulau Renggis and spent the whole afternoon enjoying the excellent underwater world there.
Room: Very basic room, bunk bed with mosquito net. Only cold shower available, however you get what you pay for which I feel is value for money. Mosquito repellent is a must!
Service: This is super excellent! We love the guys working there! All staff are friendly, helpful and have sense of humour as well. There isn't many to count. Sham, the owner has friends helping him at his bistro/B&B business, and we can see that he treats them with care and respect. At night their bistro will be so alive with people jamming on stage. Anyone is open to go to the front and sing along/perform, show some bit of your talent! Or you could choose to relax on one of their hammocks and watch the performance, life just couldn't get any better! Breakfast is included, pretty good breakfast which could last my friend and I for the rest of the afternoon.

We stayed in Tioman Cabana for seven nights and have no regrets about it. Our days were just perfect! We had one of the Beach Lodges and as we were staying for one week we got a special price. The lodge is directly at the beach which means that you can see the sea out of the room – even when you’re lying in bed. The room was big enough to feel home and comfortable. The bathroom had a hot shower and much space. Only the mattress of our queen bed was a bit uncomfortable after a while.
The owner and host Sham is a really cool and nice guy who does everything to make your stay enjoyable. The bar/bistro looks like a pirates' nest and is really cosy with its hammoks and beanbags - you'll discover something new every day. And the jam sessions of the team help you to relax quickly. Also great are the SUPs and snorkeling equipment that you can borrow for free.
Tioman itself is a beautiful place. We had lots of corals right at our beach to explore. The water was so clear every day – amazing! You also can do a jungle walk to the other side of the island (2 to 3 hours) or a boat trip to the other islands around.
We had a really good time there and can absolutely recommend Tioman Cabana for a stay. You won’t regret it!!

We had an amazing stay at Tioman Cabana for our 4D3N stay to complete our AOW with Fred. Travel is all about the good foods, good people and good vibes! Come to Tioman Cabana to experience these yourself. Words can't describe how best is the place and the crew here. Thank you Apek, Kecik, Nizam, Sham, Fred, William, and New friends we've met at Tioman Cabana for this great experience. Room space is just nice and comfy but there's a little recommendation to add something that can hang our clothes inside the room, or maybe outside the room as our clothes are all wet after our dive. Come to Tioman Cabana for the good vibes. Oh ya, if you're interested in diving, look for #00 Fred lahhh and if you're really into or interested in night dive look for the "BLUE" guy William, the night dive specialist will bring u so much fun in the water at night. Come experience these yourself lahh.

The staff is very enthusiastic about the place and present it as a trendy place with a friendly and laid back atmosphere. But the sad truth is that the staff is immature, the place is not run professionally e.g. they did not serve breakfast as agreed, before early day trips. The food is ordinary and poorly cooked. The restaurant is dirty, but cosy in it's own way. At first glance our room looked nice, but during the night we experienced a massive attack from several hundred bedbugs, so seriously that we needed medical attention for treatment of all the bites. So take care if you dare to sleep there.

Hi Ole, Thanks for stay with us. We not sure if we haven't served breakfast due to most of our rates come with breakfast, Maybe some misunderstanding between the staff and yourself. About the bed bugs why you haven't inform us.. Or maybe its the sand flies? Anyway we will look after this issue , also about the food complaint we can say anything due to we have most customer come from different place and love our food, maybe our option are not really your appetite. Are sure you come at our beach cafe or our next door, due to our main sign are below other signboard at the main road. Thanks again.
