A wonderful place to stay in Tioman. The people is what makes it the best, with very friendly, chilling and helpfull staff. But also the amazing food, the great live music which you can easily join if you're up to that and all of the equipment to have a great time in the water (snorkling, SUP etc.) adds much value to this place. I stayed here for over a week and loved the opportunity it gave me to adjust to the real island life, I would definitely recommend it to all the travelers!
We did not stay here, but came here for the nightly music. A great atmosphere, and a great band. Very friendly staff, who love to chat and get to know you. Right on the beach. Definitely the place to go, accomodation looked nice too.
Would really recommend staying at Cabana on Tioman island. Having use of snorkelling equipment and paddle boards whenever you would like is a great way to spend the days! The included breakfast sets you up well for the day and live music in the evening is amazing. The guys will do everything to make you feel welcome, even just sitting a chatting with you during the day. Sham filled us in on so much about the island and is so interesting to know a little more about where you're staying. Thank you guys, see you again!
Everything about this place was amazing - people, food, service, rooms. Please don't expect super luxury, cos you don't need one to have the best time of your life! The beach is great. The team who works there is great, we had so much fun, they are so nice, lovely people. They've helped us in so many ways. The water is crystal clear. I would love to go back there again!
The danger of Cabana is that you will not want to leave. I stayed here for a month while volunteering in Tioman, and during that time several of the other people who came through wound up extending their stays longer than planned. Cabana is a slice of heaven. Located on the beach, you can rent canoes and snorkels to see the amazing coral reefs and marine life. The venue is incredibly cozy. Hammocks and bean bags for beach relaxing, books if you're tired of marine activities, and the coolest people ever. The food is the best I had in Malaysia. The Malaysian dishes are superior, and if you're missing the West the burgers, pizza and pasta are also great. There's an amazing band that plays most nights. If you play or sing (or juggle or dance or whatever) you're welcome to join…
