Very relaxed place even during monsoon season beautiful part of Tioman.. The tower rooms are not for the faint hearted but amazing and unique. Beautiful vibe to the place food it’s mainly Malaysian/Chinese what you get in most places on Tioman and was good quality. Will be back soon
1. Booked the house transfer form Tekek, cheaper by Rm5. They are very attentive to our need for transportation. 2. Can rent swimming gear, bicycle, arrange transportation, island hopping trip with the front desk. Just ask away. 3. The family room is with shared bathroom with connecting doors 4. Breakfast option was rather limited to English, American breakfast but the ala carte menu was great 5. Ask for turnover service, they did it. 6. Walk until the end of the beach you will find beautiful River that connecting to the nearby waterfall.
We stayed at 1511 Coconut Grove for 3 nights and we had an amazing experience. This is just a few things that we loved: ● Our chalet had a balcony with seating area, sea views and air conditioning and hot water in the shower. ● We will never forget the beautiful sunrises that we saw from our chalet balcony. ● The breakfast was delicious with a few menu options that way you can try different things everyday. ● All the staff was very professional, nice and kind. They really know how to take care of their guests. ● Amazing location just on the beach and a quiet area but close to restaurants and small shops. ● 1511 Coconut Grove has a restaurant with amazing food and really good vibes. We had, without a doubt an amazing experience! We really recommend staying here.
Tioman is a gem. We absolutely love 1511 Coconut Grove! It's cosy, hospitable, quiet, music ia good and the food is great. The internet is sketchy but who wants socmed and work when you are on a break?! There's a turtle hatch next door and we went to release some baby turtles. Lots of warungs along the Kampung Juara stretch for you to go warung hopping. The sea is rough in the morning but pleasant in the evening. The seabed is flat but you can snorkel at about 100metres from it. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 instead of 5 is because I like them to repair their beach chaise, the e-tricycle, and maybe put on some hooks in the bathroom for us to hang our towels because I love to come again! 😍😍😍
I enjoyed my 3 nights stay here. The only complaint i have is i and my son waited at Tekek jetty for our transport, which Jip in his email’s response that transport would be arranged but did not turn up. For this i did not want to give them 5 stars for this review. They should serious review such oversight and not repeat it again. Other then this , i am happy to stay here and will stay here again if I visit tioman again. The hotel is nested at the far end of the concrete pavement (also served as the only runway for vehicles) fill with beautiful greenery surrounding setting. Room is clean and well equipped but without TV (i dont TV is needed, the wifi signal is good and enough to keep you occupied if you want to connect to the digital world). We took all out meals here and I considered foods is above average and the price is reasonable. Staff is helpful and friendly. One thing the hotel can improve is to set up more beach facilities such as more beach bench. The current sets are too few and lack maintenance. I and my son brought ourselves with foldable field chair and we really enjoy sitting close to the sea enjoying the sun rise and in the evening looking at sea and the azure skies.…
Wonderful place with amazing and kind staff here. The food here is also very amazing but do expect that there might be some flies. The only thing I am not happy about is after emailing the hotel to send me and my dad a taxi to the hotel but after reaching Tekek jetty the taxi did not turn up and me and my dad have to find ourselves a taxi to the hotel. Overall I’m still very happy staying here and wound definitely come back to stay again if I visit Tioman island.
We stayed here while our children attended the nearby children's nature camp and it was a lovely visit. The hotel is at a beautiful quiet site at the end of a gorgeous beach, very close to the Juara Turtle Project sanctuary. The rooms exceeded our expectations, we had a clean and spacious connecting room, with a beautiful wraparound porch with a view of the ocean. The food was good--the included breakfast was served quickly and was tasty and there was a good range of seafood and vegetable dishes for lunch and dinner. The restaurant is in a nice open-air setting, and sometimes there is live music at night, which was a nice treat. And the wi-fi even worked--a change from our last trip at a different Tioman hotel. The best part of the stay were the staff--who were very kind and friendly--they would go out of their way to find items for guests that they had forgotten to bring and help with requests to make our stay better. We'd happily come back again.…
This is the review of the Café and not the accommodation. ~ We stayed at nearby hotel and decided to come here for coffee and later on dinner. Very nice food, good choices of wine and staff and the owner were superb. We were so lucky that they have live show that night, it has been so long we didn't see any. Such a treat. will definitely come again
We arrived to Tioman for kids camp week and decided to stay in the hotel closest to the camp. This is the last hotel on the beach - quiet location with unforgettable sunrise around 6:30 am. Staff is super friendly and polite. Bungalows are best for two people. Beds are large and comfortable, bedsheets are spotless, AC works great, water heater does the job. Wifi could be better, but ok to keep in touch via messaging with friends and family. Ask Jip for local activities recommendations.
Was here for 4 day with friends. Our bookings on the website and communications with Jip through e-mail after confirmation was really easy. We also arranged for transportation through them to and from the resort. Coconut Grove is a small-ish resort in the Juara Village, which is located on the other side of the hill of Tioman. The ride there is an adventure by itself! I absolutely loved it though :D It's almost at the end of Juara Beach stretch, near to the turtle hatchery. We loved our huts. It was air-conditioned, and the surrounding trees helped tonnes to stave off the scorching heat of the sun in the afternoon. Do note that there's a larger resort next door, which can be quite loud when it's full capacity, but during our stay on most days, it was pretty quiet until Friday came. We really were looking to do absolutely nothing on our trip, as we just needed to wind down from our hectic jobs, hence we literally stayed on site the whole time. We had every meal at the restaurant - which in honesty had absolutely tasty, freshly cooked meals. Their local/Malaysian/Asian dishes are absolutely worth every penny paid. Especially the chicken dishes. Fried rice and noodles were really delicious too. You can, however, opt for the other shops/cafes within the village which are all basically within walking distance. We just really, really couldn't be bothered to do so. The resort is run by a really small team, so please don't get mad if you're request is not being attended to immediately. They are in fact, very very helpful and also very friendly. The same people that you see working and serving during meals are also the same people that will be cleaning and making up your room. I think making up the rooms is also on request. We really didn't need our rooms to be made throughout our stay coz we were basically almost always in our room or on our verandah. The beach is just 10 steps away from our huts. You can also request them to arrange scuba trips etc for you. Overall, we'd definitely be more than happy to be back to 1511 Coconut Grove if we ever plan for another trip to Tioman Island. We absolutely love the people and the quietness that the resort offers.…
