Once more I stayed in this guesthouse gem in Sabie. Janet and John are still going strong. If anything, their genuine hospitality has intensified over the years I could stay at their beautiful mountainside villa-cum-garden park. (I guess, this would fall within the definition of a full blown estate.) Breakfast on their patio is the best one can have. Friendly...

We were very happy with our room and the kind hosts throughout our stay. The guest house may be a bit difficult to find at first, but once you get there it's worth the scenery. We took a morning walk up the hill to the waterfall. A really nice way to start your day!

I just returned from spending Easter weekend with Janet and John at Porcupine Ridge in Sabie, South Africa. It's hard to put into words just how much we enjoyed our stay. First, Sabie was our favorite town that we passed through in our explorations of the Panorama Route so the location was perfect. John and Janet were warm and welcoming,...

We spent 3 nights at the porcupine ridge and we loved the lovelyness of Janet and John. They gave us plenty of information about the surrounding and were very helpful! The room was very clean and spaceful and if you like home-made breakfast with plenty of things to taste it's definitely a place for you.

the good: -lovely friendly owners, going the extra mile to help you out -decently fitted rooms -nice location, great garden, high tranquility the less good: -owners need to be careful to keep the place well kept, signs of gentle neglect (windows/bathroom fittings)

We stayed for one night in this lovely Guest house, enjoying the lovely garden with a lot of birds who come to eat at the various birdfeeders. You can hike to a waterfall in the back of the house and indeed the town of Sabie is close by enjoy the restaurants . But why not just stay around to enjoy...

We stayed here for three nights in Feb 2013 and really enjoyed the experience. It was used as a base for touring Blyde River Canyon and the surrounding area and was ideally located for this. The town of Sabie is only a few kilometres away with good restaurants (Wild Fig Tree and Woodsman both recommended). Porcupine Ridge's setting is glorious-a...

Our two nights at Porcupine Ridge were very pleasant. Our two hosts John and Janet were welcoming and efficient. The rooms were spotless and attention to detail was stunning, toiletries, chocolates, tea, coffee, sherry, rusks, nicely stocked bar fridge with ice cold beer. Our two hosts were able to give us excellent info on where to eat in Sabie and...

We stayed at the Porcupine Ridge at the beginning of November for two nights. 5 minutes after we arrived there, we already felt at home thanks to the warm welcome of Janet and John. During these two days, our two hosts couldn't care more about there guests and couldn't be more supportive if there occured any problems. For example, another...

I booked at Porcupine for the 28th and 29th November after seeing some good reviews on this website. The place was easy to find and we were received by John. John was warm and welcoming. It would have been great to know about the 500 to 1000m of gravel road to the guest house. When Janet came back, my wife...
