From the moment we arrived we knew we were in a great place, both location and accommodation. We were loving South Africa, had had a long day and were exhausted and looking forward to rest and comfort. We had a delightful stay. Janet's greeting, care and attention, swept away fatigue. The rooms are superb. We stayed in two, having planned...

We stayed at the Porcupine Ridge Guest House after a family wedding near Pretoria. We were a party of nine family and friends. The proprietors Janet and John were very welcoming and they gave us very sound advice about the Kruger Park, nearby restaurants and other places of interest. The rooms were first class, comfortable beds with electric blankets. The...

There was nine in our group and we were looked after by Janet and John, not just morning and evening but anytime during the day when we were there. Their house was our house and, with a 5 year old adventurous boy in our group, that was above and beyond what would normally be expected. The breakfasts were "any size"...

Porcupine Ridge is a former goldminers house and it is truely a gold mine! What a great place to stay and the owners make you feel very very welcom! All the details made it perfect. The house also has a very nice veranda and a big flowery garden. We loved staying there and really felt at home. First we stayed...

We stayed at Porcupine Ridge for 6 nights in July 2011. Janet and John were excellent hosts offering a warm welcome and doing everything they could to ensure that we had a wonderful time whilst we were with them. The room was extremely comfortable and the sherry and chocolates each night were a welcome extra. The breakfast was a feast...

Had a one night stay at Porcupine Ridge and it has to be one of the most pleasant stays I've had in any guesthouse. Everything was done to make us feel welcome and comfortable and the house and surroundings were just lovely. If in that part of the world, then without a doubt, Porcupine Ridge is the place to stay....

This is a comfortable and quietly situated property a few minutes from the centre of Sabie. The hosts are friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the surrounding area, sightseeing, restaurants, etc. The rooms are clean, attractive and fairly spacious. This is an excellent base for exploring the Panorama Route/ Blyde River Canyon, and a good stopping off point on the way...

Porcupine Ridge is our favourite get-away spot for the weekend in South Africa. After staying here several times, I still can not believe that the guidebooks have not picked up on this hidden gem yet, just outside Sabie on the road to Kruger park (45 minutes). Located on the grounds of a previous gold mine estate, Porcupine Ridge offers immaculate...

I have never felt so welcome in someone else's house in so little time. The second you meet John and Janet, they make you feel like family. The rooms are great with plenty of room and very comfortable, and the views are spectacular. I HIGHLY recommend this B&B to anyone as their first choice. you will not regret it the...
