We arrived late on a Saturday night and was greeted by reception staff. The lady was very friendly and assisted all questions that we had. We had free parking on site as we hired a vehicle from the airport. We did not know about the £200 deposit to be paid on arrival, however this was refunded when we left.

We were allocated our apartment which was a view over looking the rock of Gibraltar. The room had everything we needed, however this was a little outdated and could do with a paint. Beds were comfortable and had a great nights sleep with air con in the room

The pool was very large and clean, only thing they could do with more sun beds around the pool, however there was plenty of seating by the bar area.

There is entertainment every evening apart from a Tuesday, the entertainers were were friendly especially Sergio who was assisting us when the entertainment was starting (star of the shows). A lot of entertainment throughout the days for the children and entertainment in the evenings for adults.

The pool bar was a little expensive for certain alcoholic drinks, but the drinks are all branded alcohol and tasted amazing

Overall a very positive holiday and will definitely return

Dear Nathan, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Pierre & Vacances Terrazas Costa del Sol. We are delighted to hear that our friendly reception staff made you feel welcome upon your late arrival and that you enjoyed the convenience of free parking on site. It's great to know that you found the apartment comfortable and appreciated the air conditioning for a good night's sleep. We acknowledge your feedback regarding the need for a fresh coat of paint in the apartment and the limited number of sunbeds around the pool. We continuously strive to improve our facilities and will take your comments into consideration. We're glad that you found the pool area clean and enjoyed the entertainment provided by our dedicated team, especially Sergio. It's also nice to hear that you appreciated the branded alcoholic drinks at the pool bar. Thank you once again for your kind words, and we are thrilled to know that you had a very positive holiday and are considering a return visit. We hope we may have the pleasure of welcoming you back soon. Kind regards, E.Ecija, General Manager

We have just arrived home from our week’s holiday. The hotel was lovely and the staff were all polite and helpful. Especially the ladies who work in the shop.
If you stay at this hotel you will need to hire a car as there is nothing close by, you will be stuck at the hotel the whole time. We found taxi’s were expensive and we had to have 2 taxi’s as there was 5 of us. We went self catering but had to buy all of our meals from the on site shop, we found it reasonably priced and managed to buy breakfast, lunch and dinner for around €30.
The only thing I would say that needs improving is the cleaning, our room wasn’t cleaned once nor did we receive any clean bedding or towels for our whole stay. The toilets by the pool/bar were filthy, there wasn’t any soap or toilet roll and only 1 cubicle door would lock.
There was a queue every morning for the sun beds and some people were running to get them, but if people reserved them and didn’t use them within about 30 mins then the life guard would remove the towels from the beds to allow someone else to make use of them which is a great idea as some people would put their towels on the beds and then sit at the bar all day or go out.
All in all we had a lovely family holiday.

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your comprehensive review following your recent stay at Pierre & Vacances Terrazas Costa del Sol. We are delighted that you found our hotel lovely and our staff polite and helpful. It is wonderful that you appreciated the convenience and reasonable prices of our on-site shop, and enjoyed the measures we take to ensure fair use of the sun beds around our pool area. However, we are sorry that some aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. We are reviewing our housekeeping schedules to ensure that all our guests receive the attention and service they deserve. Cleanliness and comfort are priorities for us, and we regret any oversight in this area. We are also committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in all our facilities, including the pool and bar areas. For transportation, while our location does offer a tranquil retreat, we recognize that this can pose an inconvenience for those wishing to explore further afield. Our reception team is always ready to assist guests with arranging transportation, including car rentals for greater convenience. Finally, we hope that the self-catering option provided a flexible dining experience for you and your family. With spacious and air-conditioned apartments featuring fitted kitchens, our guests have the freedom to prepare meals as they wish, complemented by the option to purchase fresh bread and pastries from our restaurant. We hope we may have the pleasure of welcoming you back soon. Kind regards, E.Ecija, General Manager

Family of 4 including 2 teenagers. Clean, comfortable apartment with good air con! Wonderful views and good food. I particularly liked the kitchen cleaning kit so you didn't have to get stuff just to wash up the few items we used. Some entertainment in the evenings and in the mornings. The staff were excellent! They were helpful and friendly and got to know the guests quickly. Yes, you definitely need a car to get around to visit some of the stunning beaches in the area and avoid taxis which can add up. The pools were busy and as we went in to full school holiday mode it was more difficult to get sun beds but that is the same at any holiday hotel. Paid the deposit at check in and it was returned with a couple of days of getting home. Overall, thought the hotel was lovely and would recommend in the future. Had a wonderful time!

Hotel had great views over to Sotogrande, Gibraltar and even Africa on clear days. Apartments were fine, clean with good air con, but no oven!
Had food first night as got there late, an overpriced buffet (23€ per adult) that didn’t include drinks with not a great choice, so ate out or cooked rest of the week. Drinks also fairly expensive compared to local bars and restaurants.
Pool area was good, but the lack of sunbeds with only approx 80 available for a capacity of 200 people, meant most days were lying on our towels on the grass uncomfortably.
Location is on a hill away from shops so a car is needed. There was a restaurant at the bottom of the hill by the beach but we ventured a bit further to the local marinas 10 minutes away which had a good choice of bars/ restaurants. Felt the parking charge to park by your room was excessive.

A little gripe, I mislaid my iwatch on our last day by the pool. When I asked at reception, I was informed nothing had been handed in and that I should ask lifeguard next day (which I couldn’t as we were leaving early next morning). I tracked my watch, showed reception and it was located a few miles down the road in the same area that the lifeguard lived (informed by reception!) I got reception to phone the lifeguard who said he had it and ‘forgot’ to hand it to their lost property!! Hmmm. As I was leaving next morning, I had to drive that night to collect it from him, even though it was his fault he allegedly forgot to hand it in. There was no offer of bringing it back to the hotel, and not much of an apology when I collected it from him. The hassle of this and the 50 minute round trip to collect it severely lowered my experience of this hotel.

Overall, for what we paid it was ok. Would I go back? Probably not.

Check in was really easy and fairly quick, but trying to find our apartment was slightly tricky! Once found though it wasn't to bad, basic but clean, kitchen needs upgrading as in the cupboard doors are rotting, couple of ants in the drawer but soon got rid of and they didn't come back.

There was a tear in the bed sheet and what looked like a blood stain on the spare duvet. I would have uploaded the photo but it has not saved....

The grounds need more maintenance, the walkways have lifted and the ground was breaking up, I did trip up but luckily stayed on my feet, (I need to use a walking stick so not ideal), you need a torch at night as the lighting is not the greatest.

We did not use the pool so cannot comment on that but we did walk around the complex and there are two pools which looked clean, we sampled the poolside bar and bar food and again not bad, not brilliant but ok.

They do allow pets and the apartment above ours decided to bring 3 dogs which barked everytime someone walked past or they saw another dog, personally I don't think they should be allowed but other travellers might not be bothered.

Having to pay for parking is a stretch too far really, 5 euros per day or 7 euros per day if you want to park underground, you can park on the street which we did.

You definitely need a car as the nearest place is about 10 mins drive away, the place is quite tricky to find and you definitely need a satnav.

Also the agents do not mention when booking that you need to leave a 200 euro deposit on arrival, we booked with On The Beach.

If you like fish and chips then you have to go to Skippers in Sabinilla, tapas, can recommend La Casita in the same place and for evening meals too, Estapona is a beautiful place too.

We stayed from the 17th to the 24th Sept 2022

The worst hotels I've been to. The bathroom smelled awful all the time. They never once cleaned the rooms. They never changed bed sheets. There were not a single soap in the bathroom. Everything was empty. If we needed towels or toilet paper we had to ask for it every single time. The people worked in the reception always looked confused and had an attitude. The pool water was ice cold, buffe food looked dry. The location was not good either. You had to pay 5 euros every day for parking and sometimes the parking places were all taken. We got accused for having eaten breakfast there and they wanted us to pay until the restaurant chef said it wasn't us. Ridiculous!

Came for 10 nights with my family, apartments are not to bad clean and big! Self-catering be aware no oven! Just hob and microwave. Location is in the middle of no where on the top of a very tall mountain. 100% need to hire a car! Taxis are expensive and we're few and long waits at times! Supermarkets are around 13 euros there and 13 back! Hotels mini Market has hardly anything so Supermarkets are a must! You can buy breakfast and evening meals 14 euros per adult 11 per child (6 of us) was pretty expensive. The pool.... really nice pool but fighting for beds every day have to que at least half hour before it opens to get a bed and people literally push you out the way and sprint to beds! There's only one bin for the whole pool it was overflowing by midday. Life guard is there but has his head in his phone all day! No floats aloud in the pool only small rings and arm bands. Some staff are bending over backwards for you others are just rude! Overall not bad for the price but defo wouldn't stay here again :)

We are currently on day 5 in resort in the evening, and it has lots of great points including location (if you have a car), beautiful gardens, nice pools, very clean around resort , rooms are perfect and staff in SOME areas are trying their best.

BUT we are at the end of day 5 and have not had room cleaned, no idea where we even empty our own bins as would do ourselfs. So only 2 big towels and 3 small in a week for 5 people hardly adequate . Hardly a staff member in sight. Pool near our room has been closed to children, other pool Is nice but never been able to get sunbeds in 5 days. Reception have been un helpful and the phone we have in our room does not work so only option is 10 min walk up lots of stairs to ask for anything. Bring your own tea towels to dry up.

As I said there are lots of positive and this place has lots of potential with some simple changes.

Just take reviews on board if anyone is planning to book .

We have just returned from a great holiday as a family of 4!

The views from our apartment were incredible and my boys loved looking out at the boats and Gibraltar Rock. The apartment was clean and spacious, our towels and beds were changed on day 5 and day 9.

The resort was high up on a rock front, which gave the views but also meant that that we were a fair distance from the shops etc. We hired a car as other reviews recommended and I agree that this is essential. The supermarket on site has some essential items as you arrive but I wouldn’t rely on this and you will probably need a bigger supermarket.

The cooking facilities are functional but a bit limited. There is a hob, kettle and microwave. We managed to cook some lovely food but we definitely missed having a toaster for the mornings! A lovely welcome cleaning pack is left which includes cleaning cloths, dish soap, anti bac cleaner and some dishwasher tablets. Just take your own tea towel!

There are two pools. One is adults only and the other for families. There was a queue each morning to get into the family pool area to reserve sun beds. If you went down later than 10 you were unlikely to get a spot. The atmosphere around the pool is lovely with a lifeguard on duty. There was occasional entertainment throughout the day to get involved with too!

There is evening entertainment but we didn’t go to much of it. My son loved the pool party though!

If you are looking for an escape from the busy world then this is really an ideal place to relax and have family time!

A majority of the reviews previous all ring very true. Nice resort, nice selection of food and things to do. Apartment was spacious but dated and in need of redecoration in places. Massive security fear as the balcony doors and all the windows did not lock. Thankfully we were two floors up, but still set for a few uneasy nights with the kids in a room by themselves. You do actually need to start queuing for the pool to open at least 30 minutes prior to it opening to have any chance of getting a sun lounger. You do actually need to then run and fling your towel (and body!) on one before they are taken. Ridiculous! But otherwise it’s a whole day on a rough hard floor with no shade. The pool is lovely, but smaller than the photos suggest. Despite what travel agents websites say, there is no shuttle bus to the nearby beach. You have to get a 12 euro taxi there and back. The resort is on a very very steep hill/mountain and then across a dual carriageway. So absolutely not worth the walk in the heat there and back. Estepona is definitely worth a visit and nearer 18 euros each way. Lots of restaurants etc. plenty of choice and quality food if you go for breakfast or dinner buffet. Lunch bar snacks were available but a bit hit and Miss. we were very lucky with apartment location staying in the Valencia block 2 min walk from pool but not overlooking the noisy night time stage. Some poor people actually drove the pool each day it was so far away from their apartment! Check out time varied on who you asked - multiple times! Which was very frustrating. Otherwise staff were nice and tried to be accommodating but lacked cohesion with website, their app or what other staff said.
