A cross between staying in a country house and museum, made me feel honoured to stay here. This small hotel is charming, half way between Mahon and Es Castell. Both within easy walking distance, and a bus stop, close by, if you'd rather, not walk. The hotel is set back from the road, making it quiet and peaceful. We were...

We were recommended this hotel from friends and stayed there the first two weeks in October, it's situated between Mahon and Es Castell, within easy reach of both, a 20 minute stroll, and only 10 minutes drive from the airport. The hotel is a stunning 18th century mansion, dripping with amazing paintings and antiques, we stayed in one of the...

once again we returned to Collingwood in Sept/ Oct and had another great holiday .What makes this hotel special is the friendliness of all the staff and the tranquillity of the place. It is not suitable for children and younger clientele, more for 50 plus I would say. The only thing that lets it down is the evening meal in...

We had a four night stay at the Hotel del Almirante in the second week of October. Arrived at the hotel just a few minutes before the weekly talk on Collingwood House stated so dropped bags and joined in. The guided talk given by the hotel manager Mr Surique with the aid of paintings maps and charts as we walked...

What makes this special is the amount of effort the staff put in to make sure the guests have what they need. It's worth staying here just for that. It's fairly isolated so you either walk, get a local bus, or hire a car.

The hotel itself is clean and comfortable accommodation. The history surrounding the hotel is interesting and atmospheric with all the pictures etc. The staff are exceptional and very helpful and dedicated. The breakfasts are simple always the same, cheese ham fruit etc ... good and plenty to choose from. We made a mistake by going half board. The food in...

This is a wonderful family run hotel that has tons of history. Famous for belonging to Admiral Collingwood. Every Friday morning the hotel manager, who is the son of the owner, gives a tour of the hotel and tells you about it's history. It is full of lovely artifacts collected over the years. The staff are very helpful and the...

The most friendly and relaxing stay. Hotel quaint loved my stay staff very friendly. Lovely clean rooms. No tv or air conditioning but this did not affect my enjoyment. Guests seem to go back year after year and I can understand this now. A beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. The house itself has a very interesting History which you can...
