What a fantastic place to bring the family and friends on a Sunday afternoon. I didn't even know this place existed and I'm so glad we found it as I will be back many times I'm sure. The pub menu was fab but even better was the chicken & chorizo paella cooking in the beer garden as well as the... More

Went to the hotel for sunday lunch after walking around Jorgensen Park with the dogs. Needed to find an outdoor place we could take the dogs. Dogs must be on a leash & social. We just had a steak sandwich, the meat was tough, chips yummy beer batered ones. Lots of steps every where, but it is on a hill... More

Hi there, We are indeed on a hillside, with lots of steps in the grounds, but we also have a series of ramps! The accommodation, grounds, indoor dining areas and pergola are all wheelchair accessible, and there is a dedicated Acrod toilet. More

A really nice old pub but is in need of a little TLC a lick of paint would be great to freshen it up. Good food and good service. A lovely bush surroundings, so has it all apart from the tired decor. It could be totally amazing pub with loads of character and history

I often ride out here by motorcycle as it has a nice winding road that goes past the Weir. It is a very old classic Australian pub. There is Kangaroos here regularly and they can be fed if you ask the publican. Good for photo's with Kangaroo's. Cold beers and the Sunday session usually has Lamb spit roast. On the... More

We had lunch here during the week so had the pick of places to eat outside or inside. The pub from the outside has quite a lot of old world charm, whereas outside settings are pretty ordinary. Food was okay for pub food - nothing to rave about but nothing to complain about either. Not sure if $17 for a... More

BEWARE! They close at 5:30. Arrived at 5:15 and the unhelpful and rude waitress initially tried to talk me out of anything as it was close to closing. Then insisted that it was "policy" to only serve exorbitantly priced midi's (thimble) after 5. Then took 5 minutes to pour the beer whilst continue to pack up putting food in the... More

We recommend this establishment for a night's stay. The quaint room was spotless and everything available one would wish. Just a couple of steps away was the cafe/restaurant where we had dinner and breakfast. Both service and meals were of a high standard. It's a little hard to find, but follow the Mundaring Weir Rd and 8 km later, you... More

This old hotel was built for the men who worked on the nearby Mundaring Weir (dam) which supplies the water for the goldfields. It is a splendid building and is a favourite place for Perth people wanting to get out of the city. They do very good pub style lunches which you can eat inside or out in the garden... More

Great location. The hotel is steeped in history. Unfortunately the hotel is looking a little worse for wear, needing attention in many areas. The rooms are very basic and like the hotel are in need of attention with ceiling cornices coming away, cracked tiles in the bathroom, ripped shower curtains etc. Definitely not worth the $175 per night
