I visited Cinnamon Wild with y husband and two friends who again are a couple. We arrived on time for lunch and we were escorted to the restaurant directly by the staff. The staff members were very helpful and pleasant from the very moment that we arrived and always made sure that we have a good time and ensured our...

Cinnamon Wild gave us a very warm welcome with drinks and cool towels before showing us to our chalet with a very nice walk though a wooded area. It was also advised to have an escort after dark to protect us from wild animals!! The staff were very professional and friendly and meals were very tasty with lots of variety....

We were so thrilled with our previous visit in 2015 that we couldn't wait to get back - this time for 7 nights (most stays are only 2 or 3 which is definitely NOT enough). We opted for the Beach Rooms - there are only 8 of these , on stilts and with a (limited) sea view. They get the...

First, we feel qualified to write this report as we are travelling extensively for pleasure in Asia, South America, japan and Europe. We do only 5 star boutique hotels or small luxury resorts and rate on such comparable basis. We felt a bit out of sync here, as this place seems to cater mainly for families and big group tours...

Wild animals can cross your path at night so you have to be walked to your bungalow by one of the staff! Wonderful food, a pool that has views of a lagoon with crocodiles, monkeys, wild boars...everything is around you. If you're a nature lover, this is your place. If you go to the 5am safari, they make you a...

Extraordinary experience in the gateway to one of the most important national parks in Sri Lanka. Surrounded by nature, immersed in the wild, you get to feel a taste of the safari you are about to embrace even before it starts. The common areas are very comfortable and you can enjoy a fully private experience in the bungalow style resort....

Stayed here for two nights as part of a Sri Lanka tour and had a jungle chalet which was clean, well equipped and comfortable. We were here on bed & breakfast basis so needed to purchase food - this is our only problem with the hotel. Breakfast was great and we needed an early 'packed breakfast' for a 5am safari...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Cinnamon Wild after undergoing a brand enhancement is more than a resort; it is an extension of the Yala National park and is intended to be part of the National park. It is designed to represent rustic luxury, resembling a game lodge. Cinnamon Wild Yala exceeds guest expectations with interiors that give the camp look and feel, embedded with large trunk boxes, old vintage furniture, director's chairs and indigenous artwork. ... more   less
