Fortunately the family that runs the place compensates for the lack of interest of the owner to maintain the place. Overpriced (if yoy can find the prices somewhere). Maybe it was better long ago. No hot water, no AC, an old non swinging fan although you are charged for it. But we insist of the great caring family that runs...

We stayed here for only one night for an early morning safari. It's pretty basic but less than 15 minutes away from the park so was very handy. The rooms are fine and clean but with it being basically in the jungle, we did find that bugs were a bit of an issue which was a bit off putting. Also...

Quite place in the middle of nothing. All night was problem with electicity. Aircondition didn't work. Fan had noise like a helicopter. They didn¨t have a waste bin in the rooms. But they were very kind and lent us plates and knife. Wifi is just public and doesn't work.

The place is on a small road in the middle of local/residential area. The rooms are a bit outdated and need a bit of paint, but they are clean. The bathrooms are neat and have a great open air shower. It's a basic place to stay close (<15 minutes) to the Udawalawe National Park entrance. The guy who runs the...

We slept there only for one night but it was a good one, although a very short one. Nice beds, very quite and a good outdoor shower. The hotel Manager is fond of showing you around in his kitchen while the dinner is being prepared. A very helpfull and correct person.

Visited Elephant lane during the wesak holidays, the pictures shown on the web site don’t do justice to the huge garden that they have in front of the rooms, which had ample space for three very restless kids to run around. We booked two AC rooms, but the AC were switching itself off several time and one AC packed up...

Stayed for one night. Simple and comfortable. Lovely architecture. The owner is a superb host. Lovely home cooked Sri Lankan meals. Decent and safe. Peaceful. Economical. The only thing that could improve is the cleanliness of rooms.Cobwebs and dust in the rooms. The bathrooms are alright, but could be cleaner. Not accessible for wheelchair users.

We stayed here last minute, as we had no reservation. The accomodation looks cute and is fairly basis. The rooms (3) don't have much luxury but do have AC. The bathrooms were not very good. Quite a few bugs (mostly ants) were present in the bathroom, which did not make going to the bathroom very comfortable. But what dit make...

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay here and wouldnt hesitate to recommend this place enough. On arrival the manager offered us some fresh coconut (from their trees) and omelettes to enjoy while we settled in. Our room was super clean and had mosquito nets, a beautiful big outdoor shower, air con, TV and they sorted the TV for...

I had chosen the hotel because of the good tripadvisor comments but I had the worst night there. There were rats climbing all over the ceiling. The - indeed very nice - manager tried to calm us: "They wouldn`t come down." - well, we would have left if there was any other place to stay, but there wasn't! Next morning...
