We had Betty's camp to ourselves. Because of the terrorism on the coast of Kenya, tourism has been decimated. How the area will ever recover is beyond me. So here is my take. Yes Betty's camp is tiny. (the other 2 "hotels" are tiny as well. Gracious, Shimoni is tiny. But, it is clean and overlooks the water. There are...

This is a nice hotel with a great view although it is a lot smaller than it looks in the pictures. I had a room in the house rather than the tented rooms which are right next to the bar/restaurant. The location and the staff are the two biggest reasons to stay here. Betty's Camp is right on the waterfront in Shimoni and has wonderful views. It's very calm and relaxed and the staff take great care of guests. We stayed four nights, in one of the tented rooms, and really enjoyed it. We opted for full board and loved...
