We were a very large group (12 adults, 4 children) and we had a wonderful time. The location is amazing - getting there and getting around the island was part of the adventure. The rooms were nice, the setting stunning and the lunch and breakfast meals were great. Dinner was decent, not amazing but solid. The pool is good for...

The purpose of staying here was to enjoy the variety of birds and we were not disappointed! The variety was stunning and truly enjoyable. Accommodation is in huts which were pretty basic. The dining area was completely open which was great for birdwatching but not for sanitation! Also be warned that you have to negotiate a path through grazing hippos...

July 2010....We arrived at Lake Baringo to a lovely lunch on the lawn down by the lake...a great introduction after a few days of travel up north, Marsabit, across the Kargi dessert to Lake Turkana, down to Maralal then to this location. Again this Lodge was built some time ago (?'70's) but was clean and hospitality and location great. We...

“We were in superior room #2 and it was spectacular. The view of the lake were unparalleled, the room itself very comfortable and the outdoor patio amazing for reading under the stars. The plunge pool wasn't the most usable -- small and fairly dirty -- but I would stay in this room again for the seclusion, views and comfort.”

“The rooms are all pretty basic and have no windows (wire mesh screens) so don't expect to sleep soundly! The bathrooms have no mesh over the high window and I had a camel investigate twice whilst I was showering!”
