The apartment was basic but clean and comfortable. Cleaning and change of towels every third day. We had a balcony with a view of the sea and sunshine in the afternoon. Stunning sunsets There is a pool on the roof and sun beds on the upper floors. It is 'self catering' but there was only a 2 ring hob in... More

We have been to La Gomera many times but normally stay in Playa Santiago. Valle Gran Rey was a very pleasant surprise for us. Much busier than Playa Santiago, but still very relaxed and quiet compared to Tenerife. We love walking and swimming in the sea, so Valle Gran Rey and these apartments were an excellent choice. The rooms and... More

Checking in: My partner and I arrived at around midday and checked in. The receptionist wasn't exactly chirpy, but we thought everyone has their off days... however, reading some of the other reviews on here, every day is an off day. wifi: We were given a password for free wifi, which was a surprise as we weren't expecting it. However,... More

I have to say I was very impressed with this place. The apartments are build around the very nice courtyard and very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Although travelling alone I thought the cost excellent value. My only, very small, grumble is that I couldn't pick up a decent wireless signal from the room, although it was perfectly usable in... The hotel itself is very nice, it has a nice calm patio were you can sit and rest or rent a book or some water games. There is a swimming pool on the roof with magnifique views over the sea on one side and the mountains on the other side. The room is clean and tidy, with a fully equipped... More

We stayed here for a week with 2 small kids in January 2012 Pros: - The location is very handy - easy to get to the beach and shops/restuarants in Vueltas, and a nice, scenic walk to la Playa (about 10 minutes brisk walk) - The courtyard is beautifully decorated and a nice calm place to sit (I used it... Lovely little place on a lovely little island - went for the first time in Feb 2011, and the adventure of catching all the connecting boats across to the resort from a very concrete looking Tenerfie, just added to the quiant and slightly old fashioned experience. The apartments are pleasant and basic, but the ambience of the courtyard and palms... More

Just back from a 3 night stay in Residence El Conde and must highly recommend this location and apartments to anyone considering Valle Gran Rey. Basic but spotless and roomy in a beautiful setting, 2 ring cooking only, not that this was enough for the 2 of us as it is cheaper to eat out for 2, right on the... More

We stayed here for a week in March 2008 and returned for a week in November 2010. The apartments are well furnished, spacious and clean. The staff are very friendly and will immediately resolve any problems you may have. The location is fine - on the beach, lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance, but quiet at night.
