So fun for a motel. We send our son to summer camp near this motel and we book this one for the weekend to see him off. It is very nicely kept and is close to a beach! Rooms are nice and we booked a special loft for this summer. Book ahead!

We stayed at the Highlands Motel the weekend of Jan 26 to 30. Paul and Dora are a pleasure to deal with. They made us feel like celebrities! They had nothing but smiles and were there for any questions we had over the weekend. The rooms were spotless and had all the amenities. A big thanks to Dora and Paul,...

We stayed in the Moose Loft for 2 nights which was very lovely and also ridiculously good value for money. We were staying for a wedding in the area and this was the only room left - there were only two of us and it really was more like an apartment that could sleep 6-8. Everything was newly done in...

The price per room is so cheap that you think it might poor quality but it's not. The owners should seriously increase prices across the board by 25% and it might actually increase business. We hosted a group party in the club room and it was perfect. The owners are friendly and so accommodating.

We stayed in the separate cottage - it was perfect for our family! The kitchen had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable - it was cute and spotless! The owners are accommodating and lovely to chat with. The grounds are so well kept with flowers and trees everywhere!

Paul and Dora made us feel so welcome as always. The motel is absolutely charming. The property and rooms are beautifully clean and well equipped. The short walk from the motel to Twelve Mile Beach on the picturesque shore of Twelve Mile Lake was an amazing way to start each day. We could not have been happier with our stay,...

Most people hear that word "motel" and immediately get turned off. This is definitely a far above average motel than any that I've stayed at. Very nice well kept grounds (including some alternative "cabin" options apart from the regular rooms), extremely friendly and helpful owners, and clean simple rooms that have some nice flourishes. I was here for a wedding...

We stay here every year while doing The Haliburton Art and Craft show and every year is the ultimate motel experience .Extremely clean and comfortable rooms with an option to upgrade to separate cabin type lodging. But the personal attention is the best feature from a family that makes your stay a most memorable and amenable experience.A casual laid back visit....

We loved staying here. Booking was very easy (we did it over the phone). The owner and their adorable dog greeted me when I checked in. The room was very clean, had a nice bed, a mantle fireplace, TV with satellite, free WiFi, a full washroom, AC, a mini fridge, and a Keurig with tea and coffee. The owner was...
