We visited in April 2016 with my partner and his grandparents. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The huts had a lot of privacy and made you feel like you were part of the rainforest. Each hut at a relaxing hammock and the front of each property did not face each other giving you the feeling that you were...

Huasquila provides a unique, interesting experience, but I thought it was important to write a review to ensure people are aware of the experience you will get. While my husband and I enjoyed a chance to learn about the local culture and see some interesting plants and animals, we weren't prepared for how rustic it would be. I've traveled to...

Dear guest, Thank you very much for your review. At Huasquila we have a policy to empower local native people in running all aspects of the lodge (from cooking, guiding to running the recepction), since we are convinced that they can do a great job. Language and cultural differences however, although your guide Lenin was fluent in english, are still...

We stayed here for three nights as part of a package trip. The grounds are very beautiful with trails to a cave and waterfalls. The rooms are very comfortable. The staff was so kind, especially our guide and driver. The food was plentiful and quite good. Wifi in the restaurant area but was able to get some connection in the...

Great value for money in a fantastic location. We stayed for a long weekend and also used the driver, who was friendly and drove sensibly (something of a rarity in Ecuador). Staff were helpful, and happy to explain the different trips and helping us to arrange other semi-independent trips. Our room was lovely with a little balcony and hammock that...

We stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. The food was delicious, bungalows were clean and spacious, our guide Lennen was great, so knowledgeable and attentive. The staff and service was super. There were no mosquitoes to worry about which was a relief. As this is secondary forest it is very difficult to see wildlife, you need to go...

My children (ages 4, 7), parents and I fell in love with Huasquila. The highlight of our visit was the two rainforest hikes we took on the Huasquila reserve with our guide, Pedro Lenen. He brought the forest to life with his descriptions and demonstrations and mixed education with great fun (swinging on vines, standing under waterfalls). I think because...

I stayed here with a group for 5 days, 4 nights. Lovely staff who made their best effort to speak English. They greeted us when we arrived and offered to carry our bags to our relevant rooms.
