I'm a single traveller and have visited many b&b's in my time. Vue Mer has certainly been one of the best places I've stayed! Amazing views and very friendly host, Klervi looked after me throughout the stay and made me feel at home. I highly recommend Vue Mer to everyone and will definitely return.
This chambres d'Hotes is a little way outside Carantec and has wonderful views of the estuary. The charming and friendly young (English speaking) hostess was very welcoming and joined in the breakfast conversation with all her guests. The comfortable bedroom was of a very good size with a hospitality tray and a very modern en-suite bathroom which gave us our first experience of a "wet room". The bed was comfortable and the breakfast excellent. Ample parking in the grounds. We were sorry that we could stay only one night and hope to return the next time we visit France.
We had such a great time staying at this B&B over Valentine's Day weekend! The views are unbelievable and you can see them right from your room window. The rooms are spacious, modern, and spotless, and the bed very comfy. Emmanuel and Klervi went beyond our expectations, making us feel at home and being very flexible with our check in/out times. Emmanuel made sure we had suggestions on what to see and where to eat while we were in town, and even brought us champagne glasses (and a little snack!) for the champagne we brought back to enjoy in the room. Breakfast was delicious and filling! If you're concerned about a slightly higher price than some places, don't be - it is seriously worth it! If we ever find ourselves in Carantec again, this will be our first choice. Thanks so much!
Such a lovely place that I hesitated about recommending it in case it becomes too popular. The views shown in the main photo are from the decking of the main room where you can enjoy breakfast, but the views from the B&B rooms are almost identical. The rooms are on the lower ground floor and you have your own entrance through double patio doors so you don't feel you're disturbing the owners at all. Attentive and thoughtful owners and - unusually for France - tea, coffee and a kettle in the room so you immediately feel at home.
