Detailed Reviews
This was a last minute decision with no reservation.
The hostess directed us to a white container, Swedish style of elegance and simplicity with a viewing tower above. We had our little Abby female dog with us and were told that she was also welcome. Finish Sauna and hot tub are best to shed the effect of a long and tiring drive, and a continental breakfast served in bed to top it all.
This is work in progress with fruit trees and grape wine planted beside the barn with lambs and baby goats.
If you can't effort a room, you may choose one of the stylish carpeted tent with a wood stove and a king size bed that would satisfy any demanding guest.
Thank you - We shall return -

After much back and forth in deciding where to stay for our anniversary this was an absolute great choice and here is why.
The excellent experience started before we even arrived when I contacted Lumi via IG to ask for anniversary dinner suggestions. They responded promptly and without the response feeling automated.
One great thing they do is contact you through What's App to provide you with directions, but I also found that putting "Once Pueblos" or "Xaroma" (a winery next to them) in my GPS led me in their direction. While looking for them keep your eyes peeled for the Lumi signs you can easily pass it since their signs blend in with other winery signs.
From the moment we opened our car door we were greeted by their two pups which in my opinion already gave this place five stars. Everything from the check in to the check out was smooth and really made us want to return because this is how a vacation should be. Just worry free.
Here are a few amenities we overly enjoyed:
1. Beer. Yes, they have beer that is unlimited and included in your stay.
2. Breakfast... oh my their homemade bread is just perfect. The breakfast was a fruit bowl, oj, coffee, yogurt, granola, and have I mentioned their delicious bread. It was filling and just perfect before wine tasting. When you check in they ask you what time you would like your breakfast and if you would enjoy it in your terrace or in the room.
3. The terrace what a beautiful place to have breakfast and just enjoy the views of the valley.
4.The Sauna/ Jacuzzi. You can reserve a time to use before 9pm. After 9pm to midnight it first come first serve. I found it easy to go after 9pm the Friday we arrived.
5. Heated bathroom floors. I was obsessed.
6. Size of the King Suite was huge and loved that they had Netflix.
7. The animals that just made you feel you were miles away from the everyday hustle.
I cannot wait to return, I have told my friends and family we need to plan a trip asap.
Another last tip is to take snacks, there isn't much open late night if you get hungry.
And finally, yes, it's a bit difficult to get there but this is an added bonus to the experience. Like others I would recommend to get there by day especially if you don't have an all wheel car.

+1
Lumi is a tranquil, charming, and a great concept! The converted containers are unique and cozy. The bed was comfortable and the shower had this breath taking one way glass window where you can take in the scenery as you shower. They have rooftop decks to enjoy a glass of wine or a delectable meat and cheese platter. The hot tub and sauna in the evening relaxes you while you drink self-serve beer on tap with IPA. The breakfast was simple yet perfect consisting of orange juice, coffee, fruit, yogurt, and a soft warm bread. The bicycles were fun to ride around in, my dog did not enjoy chasing me around but she needed the exercise anyways. The staff was helpful and kind, even chatted with the night person on duty who lives on the grounds. I highly recommend and will be returning soon!

We were the first family to rent the casita. The area is beautiful and we arrived on a Friday evening to an empty reception area where we waited about 15 minutes for a nice worker to show up. Unfortunately he was not used to checking anyone in and tried his best to accommodate us. The worse complain was not realizing the jacuzzi was unable to be turned off until the whole family had gone asleep. It was very late to call reception and then wake up the hubby to let him know someone was going to come in to fix the jacuzzi would create chaos in the much needed time to rest. I was a zombie waking up several times to unsuccessfully turning it off. I had nightmares of tsunamis (w/o exaggerating) and my whole Saturday was draining as a mom of little ones I got no sleep (some can associate to this). The next day, we had so much fun feeding the sheep and it is a beautiful place indeed. The same day-Saturday - a worker showed up who brought coffee and fixed the jacuzzi. Also the manager Sonia apologized to us for the night before with the check in and the jacuzzi situation. At that point it would have been nice to be offered a discount or at least something like an extended check out or even a donut lol but she just said sorry. She was nice though but i think she lacks management experience and should have taken ownership of her mistake to leave unprepared staff and a broken jacuzzi on before she left on Friday knowing this would be a new house to present. Despite it all the kids had a blast riding the little bikes, playing with dirt and doing a bum fire. We enjoyed eating at the restaurant next door that starts with an X and they have excellent wines! We will for sure come back and hope to have a better first day. We checked out on Sunday and will miss our relaxation Lumi brought us.

Thank you for writing the review, for giving well deserved advice and comments. Yes, as you said you were the first to stay in the house, and unfortunately the jacuzzi wasn't working as it should. They just installed it the day before and didn't have the time to fix the issue. But I understand not only that affected your stay, and I'm so sorry about it. We have small kids as well and completely understand that leaving your home to stay somewhere else is precisely to be able to relax and enjoy the time together. I'm relieved that you and your family still managed to enjoy Lumi in general, our neighbor Xaroma and other aspects of the place. Of course we're more than happy to give you a good discount if you decide to visit us again -which we hope you do! :)

Beautiful property. Exceptional customer service. The amenities were far beyond what many offer: sauna, hot tub, fire pits, room service, beer on tap for free, breakfast served on a personal rooftop… The list goes on. Pet friendly. They even have a dog spa. And they offer a ton of packages that you can add onto your reservation for a customized visit. The property and room were extremely clean. Be prepared for a truly off-road drive to get there. But the staff is really kind and they will guide you through it so you don’t have to worry about getting lost.

Had high hopes based upon the previous reviews. However, expectations were not at all met.
1. There are 2 dogs on the property that are older and bark when cars arrive. I was told that they are friendly and they seemed to be so upon greeting. However, on the second day I was riding one of the bikes and one of the dogs but my ankle. I sent pictures to the management and received an apology as well as promise that the dog would be contained. There was NO difference in terms of the dog roaming free. We had a 4 year old and were very much on guard with her for the remainder of the trip. Additionally, I asked to speak to the owners who were out of the country and were told that he would call me the next day. However, the owner never called. It seems that the owners have returned to Finland and it’s unknown how much oversight or management that execute.
2. The room was not made up on 2 of the 4 days until following up to request late in the day.
3. Despite scheduling breakfast for delivery at certain times the day before, we had to follow up when it wasn’t delivered. On the last day, half of the routine continental breakfast items were unavailable.
4. The jacuzzi is not very hot and the sauna only heats to 95 degrees Fahrenheit. This is extremely subpar for any spa let alone a Nordic spa.

On behalf of all of us in Lumi we're sorry to see you didn't have the experience you should have had with us. Our sauna must have had some kind of problem at the time, because usually it heats up very nicely and is even too hot for some. Hope you come back some day, we'd love to offer you our best since this truly sounds like bad luck in too many ways.

Our stay at Lumi exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by Sonia who was so warm and helpful. We immediately felt welcome and at home for the weekend. She filled us in on the local wineries and was able to make us reservations for dinner at Finca Altozano. The jacuzzi and sauna were just perfect, it made our stay that much more relaxing. My furbaby was able to roam the grounds off leash with me which he loved :) Daily breakfast on our beautiful balcony was the cherry on top! The fresh bread and jam delicious! Can't wait to come back.

Thank you! Sonia is the best, after working with us for many years she knows the places to go in Valle and is quick to make a reservation. We love having furbabys around, since we get to see and enjoy our guests' dogs it keeps us from adopting more ;)

Second stay here- this time with our baby and toddler. As amazing as the first time but even better to enjoy it as a family. So unique to have such detailed attention to kids and families and still feel like it's an indulgent adult stay with the jacuzzi, sauna, beer on tap, delicious rooftop breakfast, and stylish container rooms. Love the bathrooms! The attention to detail and service are really remarkable. Local zoo and wineries are all incredible and great value. We typically don't return anywhere but have vowed to make this a yearly family tradition. One of our favorite places we've visited in the 20+ countries we've been to.

So impressed by Lumi! From the rooms, to the Jacuzzi, to the hospitality, I would give this place five stars all the way. We loved the baby farm animals and the attention that the staff gave us each and every day. The breakfast was amazing and the views were outstanding. I cannot wait to come back and explore the rest of the Valle

Very comfortable stay, excellent service, great weather during our stay and the jacuzzi was a very nice touch. Definitely recommend staying here and will book for anytime I go to Valle. The road getting there can be a little bumpy so just drive nice and slow and you’ll soon find your way to this beautiful stay

Hi Tina and thank you so much for contacting us!
We actually appear to have one reservation on that day for a Queen room, so we'd only have available 3 queen rooms (each for 2 people) the king container (2-4 people) and Familiar container for 4 people.
