Booked this hotel as usual with booking.com, who we have booked with for many years. Upon arrival my booking was not found, but was shown to a dark dingy double room, i had booked a suite. Rang reception and was told that booking.com had not specified a room type, which i know was untrue, was then told that all suites... More

I stay a lot in the standard Hiltons and Holiday Inn's and wanted a change. What this hotel gives is charm and that personal touch. All the staff and owners happy to chat and make you feel special and I think that is what makes this hotel worth a try. The food is very good and over the three nights... More

My husband won an "afternoon tea" at work and everyone was envious of his prize, so we had high hopes for the afternoon. We were not disappointed. We had a glass of Champagne followed by a delicious tea of sandwiches and cakes in lovely surroundings. The staff were very friendly. Overall a great experience.

Stayed with my wife and son over New Year. The room was comfortable roomy and quiet. Our son had an adjoining room for just £10 extra which we felt was excellent value. Overall value for money was very good. The breakfast was also good and the staff very friendly. We enjoyed the new year eve in the bar, very relaxed. Recommended!

I arrived late on New year's eve and was assisted with booking in and getting a taxi to get to the party venue. I noted the helpful attitude of the desk clerk a mature woman. Breakfast was served the next morning and the waitresses were very helpful and friendly. The food was good. The room was a bit basic and... More

Was looking for somewhere for a light lunch, and this looked more attractive than the pubs on the high street. Very pleasant, oldy worldy hotel, and we sat in the bar for a soup and a sandwich. Thought it was slightly expensive at £30 for two soft drinks, two soup and sandwich combos and two teas to finish with.

The Old Hall Hotel is renowned for its restaurant. Unfortunately, the rooms were much to be desired. We were in the courtyard which was the building next door, so you had to leave out of the main entrance, on to the high street, then into the other building around the corner. The 1st door lead to a corridor which was... More

One of the reviews started by saying it is outdated (L.O.L.). It’s a 17th Century listed building and yes it has some rough edges, but that is what you call character. Putting that aside I would have to agree that there is some room for improvement in the utilities department. The staff could not have been more accommodating and in... More

My husband and I booked this hotel confirmed by telephone. When we arrived I went to book us in was asked to wait to be shown to our room, then my husband came in after parking the car. The person at the desk asked him what he wanted (those words - rude?) when we said we were together she went... More
