Stayed in this hotel for a few nights. The best feature of this hotel is the location , right in the middle of everything, and across from the Narzan Gallery. Compairing the hotel with most of the places in Kuslovodsk, i would say its a good one, but Kislovodsk itself sooner or later if nobody takes care of the town is going to die...Feels like you are back in time, old ladies in galleries and in reception in Baths practically show you how much irritated they are that you are there and ask about the services...Gondola ride was scary with 25 people inside standing next to each other... What is good about the hotel and the town is the nature and the beauty of the area, the climate, and you can not kill that...Also the ladies in reception in the hotel and cleaning staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast leaves much to be desired service wise and quality wise... Dont forget to eat at Stary Dvorik and try their Ossetian Pies, amazing! It was the best meal in town where everything is overpriced, and i dont mind to pay if price reflects the service and the quality..not the case in Kislovodsk, unfortunately...but if you need to stay in Kislovodsk, stay at Grand Hotel

I stayed at the hotel for three night. The hotel located at the centre of Kislovodsk, next to Kolonada and Narzan gallery. Clean rooms. Helpful staff. Extensive breakfast. Great hotel for the price. I would recommend it to my friends.

It's a very good hotel, comparable to european 4 or 5 star rank (prices also) Rooms are very large, top comfort, fine furniture. The hotel also features a fine restaurant with a selection of russian and caucasian dishes.
The only thumbs down are the missing elevator/lift (and it's tough when you check-in or check-out with huge luggage) and the fact that RUSSIAN is the only language spoken (even the restaurant menu is russian only).
Internet is free but hardly reaches rooms, while it's ok in common areas.

Grand Hotel has a lot of charm. Located right at the city center, surrounded by nice restaurants, bars and action. You can easily access to great wine at retail stores nearby and supermarket for water or stuff!
Staffs in the hotel are polite, pleasant and honest. The front desk reception ladies (2 ladies - night or day shift are extremely polite and try their best to please). Both do speak enough English to understand me or vice versa. I did most of my laundry after coming down from Mt Elbrus and the lady who took my clothes did a great job! She returned all my clothes - clean and neatly folded the very next morning.
Breakfast is reasonable and good enough for me. They've yoghurt, eggs steam in squares, cereals, cold cuts, chicken drumlets cooked in some sauce, big juicy sausages and steam vegetables. Wifi is a bit dodgy. First night we stayed, wifi was not working. On our return 2 nights, wifi is working but only at reception, bar, breakfast room and center of each flights. You probably get wifi if you stay close to the stairway. So ask for rooms close to the stairs if wifi is a concern for you.
Standard rooms has no A/C, if you're coming in summer, it can be pretty hot and sweaty. Standard room cost 4,000 RUB a night. A deluxe room is 5,700 RUB a nig or upgraded room has A/C control though. Rooms in standard room have old TV sets, upgraded rooms have flat screen TV. If you happen to be crazy about World/European Cup or TV, then getting an upgraded room is worth it.

Stayed for 2 nights, the photo didn’t look very good, but in reality it was not bad, basically everything is updated, the room has everything you need - shampoo, soap, gel, set with a toothbrush, water, coffee/tea, slippers, robe . Breakfast - there is a lot to choose from.

The hotel is not 4*! If you are nostalgic for the USSR, this is the place for you! Meager breakfasts with semi-finished products, dumplings and sausages and this costs 10 tons per day. Artificial flowers throughout the hotel and washed carpet. A compliment from the hotel on the other side, they drink and eat themselves! We have to beg! Disgrace! We will not come to this hotel again
