Had a very warm welcome for our short stay in Finca Arminda earlier this year, its a very comfortable personal B&B finca with an antique decor and charm. We stayed when the weather was a little unsettled but were warm and cosy during the rain overnight, and the room was well equipped with everything you needed to make a very...

We stayed five nights in the large suite over-looking the banana plantation (get ready to see a lot of bananas if you come to La Palma!). We were very well looked after by Dona Arminda and Carmen. A little Spanish would help, but Carmen's English is pretty good. Christine is on hand (by 'phone) in an emergency. As others have...

I agree with what others have written in English about Finca Arminda. We read up on it in advance, so knew what we were in for: just the sort of place we like! It is indeed more a guest house than a hotel. But the house has wonderful character, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the terraces and pool look...

Not really a hotel - no reception, no bar, no restaurant - more an upmarket B&B. There's no identification of the place from the road, so you have to know exactly where you're going to find it. Once there you're sharing the home of a lady who speaks no English and her daughter who speaks some. The furniture is from...

We spent just one night here, but the hotel was very flexible, allowing us to check in early on the first day and to stay till 6pm, as we had an evening flight, on the second day (though we paid a small supplement). The house is packed with antiques and each room is different, with its own character. We had...

A typical Canarian house with a fascinating garden. It is run by a charming old lady for whom nothing is too much trouble. Our room was more like a suite with sofa, table and chairs. There was fresh fruit in our room and even wine glasses with candle and matches for a romantic drink. We did miss not having tea...

We just loved our journey in the Finca Arminda. We had a very big room with antique furniture surround by banana trees. Donna Arminda is the soul of the Finca. She if so friendly and enthusiasm (when the sun is shining in November) that we really feel at home. She prepared the most marvellous breakfasts we have ever seen and...

Arminda is so welcoming to her home. The room was large and full of delightful antique furniture. The breakfast was delicious, a great mixture of fruit, cheese, meats, nuts and eggs accompanied by a fruit purée, tea and pastries. Everything was presented with such care. A great base from which to explore the amazing island of La Palma. You would...

Dona Arminda's family home is very special. Stuffed with antique furniture and brocante, it reminded us of a Spanish riad - so many interesting nooks and crannies to explore and always somewhere peaceful to curl up with a good book or just snooze. The house is surrounded by its own grounds, much of which is a plantation of tropical fruits,...
