A great place to stay for our first couple of nights in New Zealand. Not too far from Auckland airport to drive on arrival and a peaceful spot to recover from the journey. Sally and Chris were excellent hosts, the accommodation is faultless and the food provided was delicious ( both dinner and breakfasts). A great base to visit various...

I stayed there with my 80 year old young dad who was visiting NZ from overseas. Both Sally and Chris are great hosts and gave useful tips about the area. The farm is beautiful and a great, luxurious way to experience a slice of life at a working NZ farm. The beds and room was super comfy, bathroom modern and...

Decoration in the house is simple but tastefully done. Quality items like toiletries and bedsheets are provided. Sally is a good cook and we were treated to sumptuous breakfasts during our stay there. We had dinner at her place on the first evening upon our arrival and it wasn't disappointing. It helped a lot to enjoy the dinner along with...

We loved our night in Haulfryn House B & B plus D (dinner). This beautiful home sits atop a hill overlooking a valley and green hills as far as we can see. The couple, Sally and Chris are delightful - She from Auckland and he from England. Like many in this land they are sailors. Before settling down to the...

The views of the countryside are fantastic. We were greeted by Sally and Chris who are friendly and knowledgable. A lot of the vegetables come from their garden and the meals were delicious. I helped Chris feed the cows one morning which was fun and interesting. What a peaceful and wonderful place.

Very warm and friendly hosts, they gave us directions to the Waitomo Caves and a couple extra scenic landmarks that did not disappoint. We were also able to help feed the cows which was so cool. The room was clean, the shower / tub room was separate from the loo. Definitely 5 stars and would strongly recommend.

As we arrived quite a bit earlier than expected we were quickly whisked up to the beginning of the DOC track that climbs up Mt. Pirongia. This was the start of a great stay - the stunning views from the top almost matched the ones from the dinner table. The food was excellent and we felt like we had even...
