Ideal location. Very clean, fantastic lakeside view. Owners very helpful. Would definitely come back. After two weeks touring Nova Scotia this was this ideal place to have a few days rest. Very peaceful and relaxing yet only a few minutes away from the town and shops.

The property was beautiful and we so enjoyed sitting out and looking at the water.... walking on the floating dock... watching the ducks.... the view was breathtaking.... However we were quite disappointed in our room. We were there for two nights so we were not planning just a quick stop to sleep... and we are not ones to spend money...

We spent one night here at the end of a trip around the Maritimes. It was the only motel during our stay and - despite the solid reviews - we weren't expecting much. But we ended up with a riverfront room in the "boathouse", which was very cute. The only downside: the AC blocks the only window on one end....

The owner was very friendly and helpful. Greeted us when we arrived and came out to say goodbye when we left. Room was bright and clean and well maintained. Very pretty grounds along the river. A really nice place to stay.

Our family stayed recently at the riverbank cottage. The large windows filled the place with natural light and provided a gorgeous view of the beautiful Lahave river. It was clean and well equipped for preparing and cooking meals. It's a great place to stay while visiting Lunenberg, Peggy's Cover, Chester and Halifax. The owners are lovely people!

We miss the Riverbank cottage already. We stayed at the Lighthouse Motel in the Riverbank Cottage for 3 nights. The cottage (mobile home) is beautiful inside and out. It's right at the edge of the river, you can hear the ripples of the waves when you have the windows open. The cottage has a fully stocked kitchen with dishes, utensils,...

We visited this area again, knowing it was a great home base for stopping in at Peggy's Cove, Chester, Lunenberg, Mahone Bay and just about every gallery and antique place along our path of exploration. We also visited several places along the Petite Rivière as it was an artisan weekend. Everything was great, we stayed in the waterfront cottage and...

The power has just come back on when we checked in to our room and there were several dead flies throughout the room which turned me off. Room itself was okay. Nothing special but I would not choose to stay again. We were en route to Yarmouth and this was a convenient stop on our route. Not much to do...

A huge shout out to Frank and the wonderful staff at the Lighthouse ! This was our second visit and we already cant wait for our next visit. We rented #14 in the Boathouse and it was all we could have asked for, very clean and comfortable! The views are just amazing and it was just what we needed, a...

Can't say enough about the great service!! We stayed in the cottage- breath taking view - living room looks out over the water. Everything you needed in the kitchen. Beautifully decorated bedrooms and bathroom. Hope we can make it back sometime!!
